My father passed away 3 months ago due to hypertensive heart disease. It was very sudden and none of us got the chance to say our last goodbye to him. Hence, 送终 is a freaking big deal to me because I don’t want to have this kind of regrets in my life anymore.
p/s: if you translate 送终 into English, you will see “bury a parent". But that’s not what it means for Chinese. It means having all children and grandchildren guarding at the bedside of a dying parent/grandparent, seeing him/her off until the very last breathe.
