Girls, can change car tyre too !

I really think lady-luck is constantly by my side lately.

Not only I won fabulous prizes from lucky draw, I even beat Bobby 3:1 when playing pool (and I suck at it. Making the white ball jump and putting it into the pockets aku pandai) last Friday. Teased him, “Hah! Proves that you don’t need skill to win!”

And just this morning, my mom came to me and told me that I had a flat tyre.

Lucky or what?

You might think that I’m crazy to think I’m fortunate to have a flat tyre while most people dread it. But, having flat tyre at home, with shelter and sipping 100 plus is a bliss okay!

Way better than having a puncture under a hot sun or heavy downpours right?

Oh by the way, this is Corrie’s (my car) first flat tire too, after almost 4 years of driving him/her (?)

Okay, here’s the tools that you’ll need, jack and tyre iron.

(minus my mum’s foot)

First of all, remove the rim cap (if necessary).

Loosen the nuts a bit then jack the car.

Remove the nuts once the tyre is in the air.

Put the flat tyre aside and take out the spare tyre.

Install the tyre.

Your car is ready to move it move it~

p/s: Must must must remember to repair the flat tyre. Don’t later soi-soi there’s another flat tyre and you have nothing to change with. That time really have to call 247 road assistant.

Progressive Scan
Progressive Scan doubles the vertical resolution of the image resulting in a noticeably sharper picture. Instead of sending a field comprising the odd lines to the screen first, followed by the field with the even lines, both fields are written at one time. A full image is created instantaneously, using the maximum resolution. At such a speed, your eye perceives a sharper picture with no line structure.

Digital Sound Control
Digital Sound Control offers you a choice of pre-set Jazz, Rock, Pop and Classic controls you can use to optimise the frequency ranges for different musical styles. Each mode uses graphic equalizing technology to automatically adjust the sound balance and enhance the most important sound frequencies in your chosen music style. Ultimately, Digital Sound Control makes it easy for you get the most out of your music by precisely adjusting the sound balance to match the type of music you are playing.

Dynamic Bass Boost
Dynamic Bass Boost maximizes your music enjoyment by emphasizing the bass content of the music throughout the range of volume settings - from low to high – at the touch of a button! Bottom-end bass frequencies usually get lost when the volume is set at a low level. To counteract this, Dynamic Bass Boost can be switched on to boost bass levels, so you can enjoy consistent sound even when you turn down the volume.

Bu, masak aperrr malam?

Just collected my passport this morning. Oh oh, do you know that immigration (passport department) is now open on Friday too? But only from 8.30 to 11.00am, I think.

Note to self:
Splash tons of powder and blusher, add inches of eyeliners and put on some gloss on the lip for the next passport. Hopefully in next year.

Fingers crossed.

(That’s also one of the reason I didn’t really bother to look nice. Anyway, I always look hideous in mug shot one lah)

Sorry for the lack of updates.
It’s just that too many “poopy” things happened that made me real tired and busy.
I need to update Spirithrift by this week.
I need to be a more rajin blogger.

All I really need is, motivation.

(And retail / food therapy)

Eeekkkkk!!!!!! SiiiiiiiNEKKKKKKKKKKK !!!

Okay, everyone who has me in their Facebook probably had known this since last Thursday.

Wanted to blog about the JPMC Car Boot Sale on Thursday, but because of this snake incident, I had to clean up my room moved the furniture here and there not to miss a spot and scattered moth balls in every corner.

Traditionally,or mythically, Sulfur wards off snake but look what Shuk Chee found from the internet.

Globally, sulphuric substances can have the following effects on human health:

- Neurological effects and behavioural changes
- Disturbance of blood circulation
- Heart damage
- Effects on eyes and eyesight
- Reproductive failure
- Damage to immune systems
- Stomach and gastrointestinal disorder
- Damage to liver and kidney functions
- Hearing defects
- Disturbance of the hormonal metabolism
- Dermatological effects
- Suffocation and lung embolism

Sulfur itu tidak halau ular, sulfur bunuh kamu wtf.

Okay, here’s the story.

Like any of my weekdays, weekends, okay, everyday lah I admit, I took a short nap (2 hours atu panggil nap masih?), woke up and wanted to get ready for gym. But before that, had to serve my food in Cafe World first.

I was sitting on my bed with my laptop right in front of me while waiting for Cafe World to load. Then I noticed something black appeared on my right. I thought it’s just my laptop bag flapping because of the wind from the table fan. Just seconds later, the black thing appeared again. Black, long and cylindrical. This time confirmed. It’s a snake!!!!

(Goosebumps all over my body still while typing this. And yes, it still haunts me up to today! I keep lifting my legs, poke every bags and boxes with a stick and walk like ninja in and out my room.

I have ophiophobia okay. Even rope or belt on the road make me scream and “suk” my legs up. Don’t you dare to throw rubber snakes on me, unless you want to see your photo on the headlines the next day.)

I got off my bed softly and tiptoed out from my room, not wanting to startle the snake. Because I remembered reading or watching somewhere that snakes have poor vision, but they detect motion. Sudden movements may caused the snake to strike.

I also don’t know why I was still so calm that time. Hence, my stupid guy friends all said this, “So you screamed? What? You’re a girl or not oh?”.

WTF. Just because I’m not afraid of cockroaches, bugs and beetles, doesn’t mean I’m not “ladylike” can? And, who are you to judge whether I ladylike or not? Bobby no complain you complain what. Chew~ I ladylike to Bobby can liao lah, need to show you my feminine side meh? Sap-mong.

K, continue.

I was alone at home that time. I went to my neighbour and told her,
“Yi ah, my room got snake oh….”

And started to scream a little.

My yiyi more daring than me can. She took the plunger with a long handle, broom and I forgot what already, headed to my house and attempted to find the snake because I wasn’t sure if it’s still inside, or went away already, or it’s just my eyes.

Then my father also came back. Both of them super ganas looking for the snake. My auntie heard the hissing sound and traced the snake. The snake was just underneath one of the cabinet, coiling and hissing.

Oh ya, my auntie also brought Shelltox with her, to “pengsan-kan” the snake. Which, I don’t think it works.

I kept shouting from my yiyi’s garage, “Don’t kill it ah, just halau it. Just halau it!”

Well, my religion forbids me to kill. And I don’t want snake blood in my room kali ah! Later the spirit haunt me for life I die ah. And hor, Chinese thinks when snake goes to your house, meaning got fortune.

(But then Malays think it’s bad luch, meaning someone is going to attack you. Then Ibans say someone is going to pinang me wtf.)

Anyway, my father and auntie didn’t manage to kill nor halau the snake. They just trapped the snake in the room and I went to call the bomba.

First time in my life I really really appreciate the existence of firemen. Heroes kali ah! The firemen came 5 ~ 10 minutes later, went to my room, turned my room upside down (which I don’t really mind as long as nada ular) to catch the snake.

Err… according to those brave firemen, the snake was poisonous.
Yes, I use past tense because they killed the snake right in front of my eyes after I took picture of it, zoomed brabis because I didn’t dare to get near the snake.

Oh, btw, one of the firemen is such an eye candy~

Hafiz said it looked like black mamba.

It’s as thick as a broom stick, not very long though…

There, my room….

Took my mother and I 3 hours to clean up the mess.
And to be extra careful that no “leftovers” (eggs and little little ulars), I moved out the furniture, cleaned every corners and scattered moth balls everywhere.

Sigh, spring clean came early.
Oh well… At least I have less work during CNY.

Don’t ask me how the snake got in.
I have no idea too.
Unless you want to find bomoh and find the snake’s spirit to question.
I assume it came in through the gap underneath my door.
I don’t want to think about it.

Stare at the picture any longer and I’m going to puke.

The Belated (Surprise) Birthday Celebration

Short Note:
Spirithrift is updated! Go have a look.

Due to the reason that Bobby has to work on Friday, so instead of celebrating it on the actual day, we postponed it to Saturday.

No rush, no frills.

But during the lunch date we had, Bobby told me a rather bad news saying that there’s few glitches in the company’s system and if the problem remain unsolved, he might need to stay back to work during the weekend. And of course, he’ll try his best to make it for our agreed date.

And on Saturday morning, I happily updated my FB status stating that I was so going to be Queen for the day having Bobby coming down to pick me up for a fabulous date. Just minutes after posting it up, Bobby came to me with a rather bad news….

He’s in the office trying to solve the problem now and he couldn’t promise that he’ll be able to make it for the date.

With a heavy heart, I prayed and hoped and wished that the problem will be answered but in the end, Bobby confirmed that he had to stay back the whole day and had to cancel my already-belated-now-tak-jadi-lagi birthday celebration.

But being the super sweet and understanding girlfriend that I should be, I didn’t scream nor cry or went all berserk swearing at him. Just replied him that I understand and it’s fine…

Sad till I couldn’t bear to see my FB profile because the stupid status is mocking me.

So, having no back-up plan no nothing, I just did what I always do on a typical afternoon, nap.

Then FussyKelly texted me and asked me out for dinner.

I felt really reluctant and it’s quite obvious.

I was sulking because I was expecting them to ask me out on my birthday but they didn’t. Now baru ask.. late a bit or not oh….

But then, I had nothing better to do anyway. So I agreed to go with a sibeh bu-gan-yen (tak rela / unwilling) mood.

In the end, SL texted me that he’ll pick me up at 7pm.

So okay lor.
He picked me up at 7pm, I was wearing my dirty cloths from yesterday’s lunch date with Wei Kee and Xiao Yen, hair still dripping water because I showered late and didn’t have enough time to towel dry my hair.

Oh oh, my hair dryer rosak and that’s another reason.
(Hair dryer is, was my birthday wish list that I planned to ask the besties to buy me this year. LOL)

Sitting in the car, I asked SL where are we heading to. He answered Bucanneer.
(Crap! I can’t spell Buccaneer! Is it double C, double E or what? Hai yah…)

SL (with a   tone) : Don’t ask me.. I follow orders nia one…

Sekali……. 7.30pm liao that da-xiao-jie FussyKelly hadn’t arrived yet.
Dulan till me ahhhhhh….

Damn hungry liao lagi.

I didn’t care and went on ordering what I wanna eat.

Theen: Har? You wanna order liao ah? You don’t want to wait for them?

See how dulan was I…
(I’m a very horrible person when I’m hungry. Feed me and I’ll be very nice to you)

Then came Kelly and KL.
I was still sulking.

When we’re all talking, I slammed myself on the table and kept chanting how hungry was I. I took a glimpse on the door and saw shadow of a man holding flowers thinking,

“Ee yer, dunno which salao there… “

Yes, you guess right.
That salao is Bobby.

He came in with a big bouquet of lilies.
I was shocked.
Not in a happy jumpy way that you saw on movie ah, like those happy girl jumps on to her lover and round 3 rounds macam di pantai.

Tabalik, I wasn’t even laughing or smiling.

Me: Eh why you here? Your work finished liao ka? Problem solved already?

Bobby : Mmm… errr… you want to take the flower first?

Me : You lie to me hia? Aiyer, so malu got flowers lagi..

Bobby : Ba, you gonna take the flowers or not?

Me : Ba, sit lah.. Eh, you lie to me is it?
*@@#!#@%^%^&%$ (bombarded Bobby with long strings of questions)

Then all my friends were like, Eh… people so far come down plan all these lagi, why your reaction like that one oh?

Ya, only after like 5 minutes, I baru felt awake and acted normally giggling and laughing like my usual self. Yes, took me 5 minutes to register the idea that Bobby planned this all up and threw me this surprise party.

Now, photos time.

The man behind all these. You know, he looks damn sincere and so when he’s lying, I can’t even tell the difference. Dangerous eh!

And my lilies.
Nice kan? MY favorite flower~

The last time he bought me lilies was when he made me super angry by being late.

Then Kelly came up to me with a smaller bouquet of flowers and told me that was why she’s late. The small bouquet of flowers is what I picture my wedding bouquet to look like on my wedding day eh!

So pretty!

And, the girls said that the “fail” thing about this surprise was… I under-dressed and didn’t put on any makeup.

Darlings. Theen, Kelly and the makeup-less me with oily face and wet hair (had to tie them up so I wouldn’t look that bad)

See, the same shirt I wore to my lunch date with Wei Kee (left) and Xiao Yen (right)

Fooooooooooooooooooooooood! My Roast Spring Chicken and Bobby’s Black Pepper Chicken. B$ 9 each. Lovely!

Bobby did that very lao-tu (old fashion / kampung) thing again. Asking the restaurant to play me the Happy Birthday song while he took the cake out for me.

Buccaneer and Buccaneer, can upgrade the birthday song or not? Very embarrassing having the kiddie version played with the “How old are you now?”

I love the cake. It’s Mango cheese cake from Bakerlyn.
Small small I like.

Everyone of us
Bobby, James, KL, SL
King, Theen, Kelly.

Kelly bought Theen flower too~
So sweet right?
Friendship maintenance wtf. HAHHAHHHAHAHHAHHAHAHAHAA.

Oh oh, the present is from Theen. My second gift of 2009.
Kerlian hor, as you get older, the less number of gifts you get for your birthday too.

Gorgeous gifts from the people I love.

Sorry ah, camwhore a bit.

Theen’s gift to me is…..

Ceng ceng ceng, hair dryer!

And this, is going to be my birthday gift from Kelly.
Hope it’s going to be good.

Then came my birthday card from my man….

It’s a really unique birthday card. Love the idea.
My boyfriend is creative-r than yours.

Can tell what is it?

Brand - Nonnie, Series – A Plus (pasal my result)

What? Don’t look like a phone?
Ya lor, at first I also thought it’s a PSP.

The Menu.
The last bit that he has not color.
He was like, “Eh.. can you give me 5 minutes? I need to complete your card…”

He said he has some coloring to do and I volunteered to help him.
So yeah, I’ll be the one coloring the menu page later.

It’s a slide qwerty phone ah don’t play play.
Really can slide up one okay.
Like dopod. Hehehheeh

(And when Bobby saw Vky’s SideKick that swirls, he felt so defeated that he should have used that idea instead)

Message to me.
My boyfriend is the best!

Then, he showed me this again… the back of the “phone”

Complete one leh!!
Damn keh-si lah my birthday card.
Where to find boyfriend like that?
All original one leh.
No stickers, no colorful cards from scrapbook stores.
Just art block, color pencils and 3 pins.

Damn happy exploring my birthday card~

Oh oh, this is totally random…

my books from Eslite arrived liao.

Those comic books are damn jackass funny! One is about happenings in the office, and the other one is about showbiz.
By a popular TV producer in Taiwan. Aiyah, say liao you all also don’t know one lah.

I found part 1 of both comics in Popular 12 years ago. Never knew got part 2 till I browse Eslite website. Macam stumble upon pot of gold like that.

Read some comic stripes to Bobby and he also felt very funny and kek-tiok by the dialogues.

And the other novel, no need introduction liao.

piau liang mah?

Went to KB wet market upstairs to have breakfast.
Eh, that place got formal name or not ah?
A bit paiseh cos everytime only call it “Pasar upstairs” nia.

My favorite breakfast place despite of the heat.

Our crazy brunch.

  • (Zhu Jak) Porridge for each of us - $1.80 each
  • $1 cha-koi (still crunchy!)
  • Fried Kuay Tiaw with sunny side up - $2.30
  • American breakfast - $2.50 (Yes! That big plate of fries/2 sausages/bake beans/toast/coleslaw/sunny side up is only $2.50! Don’t chu wish you live in KB town? Don’t chuuuuuuu~)
  • Teh C panas ($0.60 each)

You Bandar people don’t come down and keep saying Seria/KB food very cheap ah. Later those vendors hear you naik harga I kill you ah! Don’t spoil market. Hahahhaa.

Don’t chuuu wish you live in Kay Bee town?
Don’t chuuu wish the food is super cheap?
Don’t chuuu wish you can eat like this?
Don’t chuuuuuuuuuu
Don’t chuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu~

Went for a little shopping and bought this~

Hahahaa. It’s something like Jengga but I don’t know, this is cuter~
