Awesome 3.3.13

Yup.. my bad… totally wrecked my 2013 resolution by not blogging for that long. Was really really busy with a lot of things, maybe more on that later. For now, let me share with you all my awesome last Sunday!

It was Maurina and GD’s big day and when we received the invitation card, we (as in Girly Bloggers) were already woo-ing and ahhh-ing bombarding Mau with our curiosity! Oh come on, it’s a fusion between traditional malay wedding and beach wedding, of course we were all very nosy trying to pry every single details!

It was just so unique.

The jemputan started from 8.30am to 9.30am. Earliest wedding reception ever, next to the beach on a sunny and windy Sunday. Beat that!

Maurina forgot to mention “footwear optional” in the card and when Atul took her shoes off, it was like she was collecting sand and sea shells. Hahhahaaa.

GD looked really happy and all smiley and our beautiful Maurina giving demure smile looking great in her dress.

Congrats dear!

6 Girly Bloggers, 4 married.. 2 more to go! (those sitting on the left of the above photo btw)

Time flies… When we all met in 2006, Ness just returned from Perth, Dee was on her study break (I think?), I just started working as a teacher and Atul, Tina and Maurina were still studying in UBD / ITB. Now look at us!

Last December 2012, during my wedding reception. 3 months later, it was our turn to attend theirs~
Which reminds me… I STILL HAVE NOT BLOG ABOUT MY WEDDING! HAHAHHAHAHAHAAH

Anyways, one of the biggest attraction that day….

The photo booth!

Because my husband very game when layan-ing me.

After attending GD & Maurina’s wedding, ran few errands and rushed to KB for Vai’s birthday lunch with the Garden Circlings.

Happy Vai with Yuen on her right and a busy Bang on her left.

Went to Naafi then brought them all to what Seria people will all do on a Sunday afternoon, tea-ing in Universal Café!

Greedy cat En-En couldn’t get enough of Universal’s The-C~
Super cute.

Then went back to KB again to pay the tickets for our honeymoon and was this () near in hitting Melborne’s air mile! DULAN!

Only when I reached home, then I realized I don’t have my house keys with me… (It was with Bobby) and my mom was in Seria so yeye brought me back to Seria again. After my mom picked me up, her friend wanted to go to Supa Save and there I bumped into Baby Ethan!

Innocent doe eyes!

Actually I had another birthday dinner to attend but I seriously had no more strength to do it. So I spent the rest of the night doing nothing but sat on my couch and watched tv!

There, my great weekend!

Froyo @ Blitz

After a long sunny afternoon having a garage sales with the girly bloggers, non-stop munching on the air-fried assorted seafood balls and fries “sponsored” by Maurina, we decided to go for a yummy bowl of froyo instead of squeezing through the crowds in TechExpo.

Yes! A new froyo place in Brunei! Woohooo!!!!
(I didn’t know about it until the girls mentioned… sigh… orang kampung Seria bah)

Blitz, first floor in Mabohai Shopping Complex.

It’s pretty spacious inside, definitely a good place to hang out with friends.

The menu

$4.50 for small bowl with 2 toppings.

Mine!
Sugar-free yoghurt with mango and almond flakes toppings.

(We thought sugar-free will be very the sour sekali it tasted just as nice! A sweet (and guilt-free) indulgence)

Top left: Mine
Top right: Tina’s Mango yoghurt with double toppings of mango! (Mango OD!)
Bottom: Mau’s sugar-free yoghurt with mango and pecan toppings.

Hello, long time no see us (in our blogs already kan?)

Happy belated birthday Miss Sebenarnya, Atul~
Much much much love from us.

(I seriously dunno what pose was that… care to explain?)

… will blogged about the garage sale + mini outing we had… soon?
(Am trying hard to keep this blog alive okay, but a bit malas to blog the day 6 in Seoul.. hehehhee)

Another day to remember

Next time, I’ll make sure I’m the one driving!

I suck in giving direction.. as in “go left”, “go right”. The only thing that came out from my mouth is, “Go there” – with my fore finger pointing at the back seat. Ya, as if Tina has eyes at the back right?

And the dinner was crazy!

Imagine this. We had late lunch/tea at Nulhajika at around 4pm. As usual, Mee Gulung, Roti John HK style with cheese, Maggie Mamak and drinks. Then we had early dinner at 6pm in Buccaneer!

2 DOZENS OF OYSTERS!!!!

And half a dozen of escargots, mushroom soup, pumpkin soup, two steaks and grilled platter!

Then, we went to the Perayaan again!

Yes, apart from eating, I guess there’s just nothing much to do in KB/Seria~

Eat, Play, Love in KB

After filling up Haji Maidin, next stop, NAAFI!

p/s: Haji Maidin is the name given to Atul’s car by herself. Don’t play play, car also naik haji.

01
The girls and their hauls.

It’s so funny when the staffs in Naafi can actually identify that they’re all from BSB just from the way they dressed. I guess, it’s the same as.. I’m always in t-shirt, short pants when I go Soon Lee get something and only bother to dress up a little when I go BSB.

After shopping (for chocolates and keropoks and dips and more chocolates!), I brought them to Nul Hajika for some Roti John HK Style with Cheese sauce and Mee Gulung.

02
Tina and Dee dividing their hauls.

03

Now, this is the legend…. wait for it… dary Mee Gulung of Nul Hajika. I love Barney Stinson!

There’s no “mee” in the above picture but….

04

*tada*, when you cut open the egg, the delicious mee kuning is all inside!
It’s like Nasi Pattaya, instead of rice.. it’s noodle with yummy sauce. You got to try this!

05
Next, the lagi more legend-wait for it-dary Roti John HK Style with cheese sauce!

The girls just kept repeating that it’s nyaman and ordered a second serving for this. Tips, order some french fries to dip in those yummy cheese sauce. You’re going to love it!

06
Corn soup with crab meat. This one no need to intro la… very common.

After makan-makan, we went to the town for some mini-shopping. Called it “mini” because we only went to Nanyang and Bodyshop. And before the sunset and the rain comes, we dropped by Billionth Barrel Monument.

07
Tourists D, A, and T.

08
Playing the I-shoot-you,you-shoot-me game.

09
I showed them this because that particular animal has been bugging me for quite some time. I think it’s a dugong.. but still, it doesn’t quite look like a dugong!

Apakan tu?

Well, clearly… Tina was not interested. HAHHAHHAAAHAA

It started to drizzle a little and hence we headed to our next destination…. my house! For toilet breaks and refreshing, and introduced them to my mom. And now, I can easily tell my mom who are those girls I had frequent dinners with in BSB. It’s really hard to explain when you don’t have a tech-savy mom you know.

Macam… “Ma, errr… I go BSB ah… Having dinner with friends. Who? Err.. I know them from blog one.. Internet… Ah.. Don’t worry, they’re nice people!”

For dinner… BUCCANEER!

I tell you, everyone loves that place! It wasn’t quite what they imagined at first, hearing babies wailing, kids running around, adults makan-makan, talking-talking. Not exactly a dim-lighted romantic place with cheesy lobby music. It’s very… how to say.. family-oriented.

We ordered….

13
Fresh Oysters! BND24 for a dozen!

To be honest, I’d never ordered this before in Buccaneer and I just don’t know what to expect. But the oysters were really really fresh! And they’re not karit with the dipping and lemon! Unlike some, only one thinly sliced lemon on top of oyster.

I can literally taste the ocean!

It was gone in 5 minutes!

And Atul took 3 minutes to eat one. Hhahahhaa. It was her very first time trying fresh oyster and … she didn’t take it very well. The facial expression on her face when she “chewed” the oyster was priceless!

Nevermind, more for us to nom-nom!

14
Dee’s pumpkin soup – BND4

15
Seafood Pasta – BND9

16
Dinner roll – BND0.80 each.

Sebenarnya, those dinner rolls are complimentary. One for each and served warm. Atul loved it so much that she ordered two more!

17

Grilled seafood platter – BND23

THIS IS VERY GOOD TOO! The calamari was grilled to such perfection! It’s not rubbery at all and it’s easy to chew them. I want the oysters and this seafood platter again!!!!!!

18

Garlic bread with cheese – BND3.50

Forgot to take a picture of Tina’s milkshake. She ordered Banana and Avocado Milkshake that is not in the menu and asked the waitress if they could make it for her. They did! Good kan? Talk about good service!

19
Last last, fruit platter… complimentary too!

So, there.. blog post done!
No more hutang. Hahaahhahahaa.

If you’re new to KB and have no idea what to do, where to go, what to eat.. feel free to ask me.

Winking smile
