Food-eating competition #ran8adidas

So, I went to the Consumer Fair Part 8 today all because of the #Ran8Adidas events! And I’m going to blog about this particular competition only (because that’s the only time I rajin took pictures – before the twitter hunt) .

P1170734
Getting ready for the big eat!

P1170737
The man behind Ka-pow Burgers and the 8 sloppy joes!

Yes.
Gotta eat all 8 sloppy joes to win !!!

P1170739
Just by hearing/seeing, I already felt full.

P1170740 P1170742P1170749

As you can see, when the competition first started, they were all standing up. After nomming off the first sloppy joe, they all sat down and continued on their eating journey.

The third contestant, the one on the left surrendered after 2 and a half joe and the battle was left with Jayden and Mr. Reduan (sorry if I got the spelling wrong).

P1170754
Just imagine, 5 sloppy joes in their tummies already!

The uncle was really really hebat! He devoured one joe after another slow and steadily and I even saw him picking up the bits and pieces on his plate. No wastage at all! He truly deserved to be the winner for this competition, sorry ar Jayden.

And yes, the uncle won the competition!

Then came the next one, sushi this time.

P1170764

And the winner was the man in green.

I told Bobby about the competition and he thought he could’ve join the food-eating competition too. Oh well, work is more important baby. Next time lah, next time I starve you one whole day to make sure you win ya. Hehheheheee.

As for the Twitter Hunt, I really had no time (and mood) to take any pictures. All I thought was, I WANNA WIN THAT GALAXY TAB! But then again, win or lose, it was still a pretty fun experience! Though, I made mistake in answering…. bye bye Tabbie… *galaxy tab spreads wings and fly away*

Thank you @BruneiTweet @Zulfadly @KitaroJapanese and @ranoadidas for organizing such fun events!

More please?

100 Day Project: Day 74 – Something you found under your bed

Ermm….

P1170730

Let me explain!

I won this cooking pan/steamer/steamboat from the annual dinner last year from a lucky draw and I already have one identical one at home. I plan to sell this off but it seems like there’s no car boot sale or anything to take part in.

Maybe I should arrange a garage sale at home for this June holiday.

BRAND NEW IN BOX!

$25. Any takers?

Day Post: Day 73 – Your lunch

The reason why I had not post this is because…
I ALWAYS FORGET TO TAKE PICTURE OF MY LUNCH! (TOO HUNGRY BAAAA)

It’s pay day for my colleagues and I went to Excapade for lunch and I ordered Ebi Furai Curry rice and shake sushi.

*happy tummy*

Note: The pictures above are just googled imaged and not the actual one that I ate. As I said earlier, I always forget to take picture of my lunch because tooooooo hungry!

Walk with the Yip-Yips!

Forgive me as I don’t have much photos for this event. It’s not easy to walk in the costume, under the rain with a plastic bag with water bottles, camera and a super glue (just incase). Oh, and an umbrella too.

When I knew that participants were invited to make appearance in costumes for the HSBC WalkRunCycle and the best costume will walked away with the latest iPad2, I was ecstatic and started to think what can I make for a costume… which doesn’t cost me a limb finger and easy to make. My colleagues asked me to make iPad out of boxes but I’m not liking the idea of walking in a box. Then I thought of something, something that Bobby can wear with me.

01
The Yip-Yips!

Martians who always say “Yip yip yip yip, uh-huh, uh-huh uh-huh”

I made those costumes myself (with my auntie’s help who is a tailor) following the instructions from Instructables.

The sad thing was…. people thought we’re Cookie Monster and Elmo!!!

Can tell the differences now?
Yip-yips have no fingers, but with antennas.

02
Female Yip-yip checking twitter.

03
Yip-Yips under the ella-ella-ella-eh-eh-eh

04
Yip-Yips attacking Spongebob!

05
Male Yip-Yip confused.
06
I love Jack Sparrow! He totally acted out the character with a charm! Super layan!
(And I thought he’s going to win the Best Costume)

07
Angry Bird! He customized the costume himself. How cool is that!

Picture stolen from Zulfadly… Hehhee, with PCK!

08
The finalists for the best costume.

09
The winner of iPad2! Bought his costume from eBay.

It was really hot to walk in the costume (imagine covering your head in the blanket) and the 4 layers of organza didn’t help much in terms of vision (especially when it was drizzling) hence we didn’t walk around with our costumes on all the time.

But, to be honest… I was tad disappointed that we didn’t make into the finalists.
Nevermind lah, next time try harder!

Day 70 – Something you borrowed from someone else

Not something, but someone Smile

P1170475
Baby Thoriq!

Officially the youngest baby I’ve ever carried!

Why?

Aiko Sushi

It was during OhMyCard’s launching when I first tried out sushi from Aiko and I told Bobby, we must go visit the restaurant some day!

So, yesterday was that “some day”. We went there for lunch.Flirt male

It was pretty packed, which was a good sign because if the restaurant is empty during peak hours, you know what that means.

08

09
I like the chairs with those high backs. It kind of gives the illusion that you’re creating/having a private corner of your own.

10
I didn’t get to check out the first floor. Maybe next time.

11
The buffet area.

Aiko provides a wide range of food. You can either go for local buffets, steamboat set meals or ala-carte Japanese dishes!

01
We picked the later, while everyone around us was munching rice with chicken kurma and fried popiah.

02
Unagi sushi. I like how juicy it was! Yums

03
To celebrate our love, Bobby picked this…. “Forever”.

04
Divine! Crabstick, cucumber and unagi rolled into a maki, topped with torched salmon sashimi, tempura flakes, ebiko then drizzled with dynamite sauce and sweet teriyaki sauce.

THIS.IS.SO.GOOD!

My favorite of all!

05
Nasu Gyoza. Nasu, the Japanese word for egg plant. I love egg plant and I was ecstatic to see the combination.

06

But, to be honest, I was disappointed with this dish. Maybe because the eggplant and meat was tad too burnt for my liking.

07
Salmon Uzukuri.

There’s quite a number of food I want to try out in the menu. Definitely going there again one day.

Oh, with OhMyCard, you get 10% discount… and I cleverly left mine at home. *kiss wallet*

100 Day Project: Day 65 – A picture of you and your bestfriend

So predictable..

IMG_0115

My best guy friend and best girl friend.

No gap in conversation when all 3 of us reunited, except when.. we’re sleeping.

100 Day Project: Day 64 – Favorite childhood book

My mom started buying this since I started school. Even though I couldn’t really read the words inside, but it was fun looking at the pictures.

I just love these books. It had stories on Doraemon, Journey to the West and some short stories and puzzles and games to play like join the dots and solve riddles.

It’s from HongKong and my father used to answered the questions I couldn’t and filled in our postal details giving me hope that I might be able to win prizes inside. But, it was never sent. Hehehhe. I think my father layan-ed me nia.

Where did my collection of 儿童乐园 went? My mom gave it away.

Just like my Barbie dolls and all other toys. Sigh…

100 Day Project: Day 63 – Sports awards

I got stuck for this. Because the only sport awards that popped into my mind were those I won 12 years ago! I was pretty active back in my secondary school days, joined any event that I thought I sanggup. So, I have medals for pingpong, volleyball and basketball (now please do not simply assume that I’m good in playing in those sports ya).

Then… I finally thought of something.

I did, sort of contributed to the recent award won by our school earlier this year!

Our school won the first place for the PIBG sports day in April.

Teamwork.

Smile
