Keep the length or Chop off the hays?

// post edited - 3/8/2008. Scroll down //

Since I'm "going back to school" soon, I was thinking to get myself sort of a new image. I had not have any hair cut since my last perm. Hence... the hay-like dry hair with split ends.

Sigh.

And yeah, no treatment, steaming or what so ever.
Told you before, 10 cents is big like lorry tyre to me now.

Today... I feel like chopping them off.
This is the length of my hair now.

P1190052

Just the length I used to dream off back in the days. Problem is, it kinda got out of control. Its frizzy, dry and of course, split ends. I like the curls being all natural and wavy, but its totally out of place if I don't apply any mousse or styling gel. And since I'm so karit and lazy, applying it to my hair daily and washing it off at the end of the day is really troublesome.

P1190054

Oh thanks to Victoria Beckham, Rihana and Hebe, everyone seems to have that funky short (bob) hair now. And my pancake face says no to it. The only kind of hair style that goes well with pancake face is probably like hers.

Don't tell me you don't know the legendary Zhen-Zi ah? The ghost who crawled out of TV/ well showing but her bloody big eyes with her rebonded hair cover 90% of her face.

So yeah, I have made up my mind about the hair cut, as long how much I'm going to chop off, we'll see. Normally hair stylist will go suggest this and that knowing what's best for the customer without her saying yes/no one lah.

God, I hate going to saloon.
I can't pretend that I'm sleeping because I wanna keep an eye on him/her. So please, no talkative hair stylist later ya.

Bless me roots.

Picture taken before we got our hair cut. Yeap, we went to the same saloon because its unisex. And look how potato he looked!

When he just started to work, he made an effort to at least gel his hair. And lately when I had lunch with him, his hair is exactly like the photo above, potato! somemore the necktie senget lagi! Like don't give a damn for how he looks anymore.

Oh well... low esteem again during his fat days.
But I still love him.
(After all, more surface area to pinch his tummy! Muahahahahhaahahaha!!!!)

The End Result
P1190060

I don't have the courage to cut short so its not that short. The hair stylist recommended me to straighten my hair, that means.... money fly fly again.

I washed my hair already and now it looks nothing like the picture above. The curls are back and... I need to be fair with big eyes to suit my hair style now!

Please.. I need a room

Eh, not that kind of room when you yelled, "GO GET A ROOM!" har.

Sigh.. Feeling kind of down now, the list for the hostel is not out yet and the priorities are given to the first year fresh  students. And I'm nothing but a fee-paying-self-sponsored-in-service student with financial problems.

I'm not complaining, I'm just worry.

And, not in the mood to blog about happy happenings now.

My Registration Day

... started with me eating Indomee alone in my car looking at people walking pass by either in groups looking all happy and exciting, or youngsters with their parents. I felt so old and not belonged.

Anyway, there's an interesting story I'll like to share with you all.

While waiting in the line to submit some form, there was this uncle.... er... can I still call 30 plus years old male uncle? majal at the table to two poor innocent ladies and its obvious that he's not going to leave until they accept his form.

The reason why they're rejecting his forms was because the passport photos attached should be taken with proper attire, i.e. with shirt with collar. The uncle was wearing a very casual tee with no collar and honestly, it doesn't even look like "Passport Photo".

And he was hogging the line!

He majal, majal and majal and you know what he did in the end?

He took a black pen and drew collar on his photo and colored it black.

Oo Emmm Geeee!

Priceless.

Mini Girly Bloggers Tea Out

This is a super back dated post.

The afternoon... or I should say night was really fun! We stayed there from 4pm (Atul, Tina and I.. we're the early birds, the rest were late. Biasa.) until 8pm! Talked and laughed A LOT! As for The Other Office, honestly... I'm not quite sure if I'm going for a third visit again because the second one was kind of disappointing, or TOO SURPRISING for us?

Seriously. Ice Cappuccino?

(Crap! I spelled it wrongly in the above photos! Photoshop does not have spelling check bah! And I don't drink coffee, I can't spell Cuppacino.. I mean, Cappuccino.)

I still couldn't believe that guy served Tina a cup of hot cappuccino with a bowl of ice and called it ICE CAPPUCCINO!!! Like, wth.

Rosie was damn funny! She wanted to camwhore with Atul and instead of facing the lens to their faces, she pointed it to the wall and paused for few seconds thinking why so hairan... she's seeing white patched on her camera... Its her LCD screen lah!

Eh wait... all of them happened to be wordpressers and I was the only blogspoter. Nevermind, I'm also a wordpresser in some way, I have my "backup blog" there. In case blogspot makan all my posts one day.

And did you guys see my camera? The metal is still dangling there as I have not stick any double-tape or find a replacement screw for it. The girls shouted in astonishment when they saw how buruk or badly abused my camera is.

What to do... I'm a "rough user" as per Fussy.
She complains a lot that I don't take care of my stuffs and I made up an excuse saying that my things are more tahan after I simply hantam used them.

Some people very sayang their stuffs one.. One scratch also don't have. But like tofu, very fast rosak liao. Mine hor, all look buruk outside but inside damn tahan okay.

Look at my 3 yo camera, ugly exterior but my photos still okay right? Better than SL's Sony T200. Hhahahaa.

I'm so going to lose all my friends if I continue to poke fun of them in my blog.

没心情

Just a short rant-y post for what happened, or what I came across lately...

  • I don't get it... I don't know why some people could do things like that. And some other people choose witnessed the whole thing happened before their eyes and all they could think of was took a video and post it up to the internet?

For what? Seriously... for what?! I couldn't even bear to see the whole clip fully loaded... I over-estimated myself thinking I could handle it but obviously, I failed.

It's just too much for me.

  • Could that be the reason I don't watch horror flick or soapy dramas that would make my blood pressure shoot up?

  • Another scandalous affair going on.. another gossip news... another victim, soon.
Sigh, they just don't learn.. do they?

  • Some people may look harmless and friendly calling each other little sweet names. But who knows what they said behind their backs? So pretentious... Oh well, some "friends" come and go in our lives don't they? Only the best stays.

  • When I don't know, I expect least. After I know... I feel disappointed. So don't tell me next time ya. Hhahahhaahaa. Know why? Because Bobby called me up and apologized out of sudden saying that he needs to work tomorrow (SUNDAY!) and can't come down Seria to see me. And, I wasn't even expecting him to do so.

Now he said it.. make me feel bad nia.. Sai.

Don't worry, I'm fine. (Cheery post coming soon)
Just to much to ponder..

Work, studies, money, marriage....

Fussy, I think we should stop asking each other when can we kahwin and when will we have our own houses. Its just too depressing.

=S

Life's never fair, so beat it.

Yes, when was the last time you did a community service?
And I'm thinking to donate blood soon, anyone wanna go with me?

I learned that...

ONE SHALL NEVER EVER PUT GREETING/ SORRY CARD ON THE PRINTER PAPER FEED TRAY!

Like this...

Sigh... I conveniently hit the Ctrl + P keys followed by pressing "Enter" very nonchalantly without checking. Lucky the card was thick enough and didn't went through the printer else the whole "face" of Bobby macam got bad pigmentation..... I mati.

But still.. the lips got dirtied.

Why am I so careless?????

p/s: Been busy lately. Entry with photos coming soon.. Got back-dated photos that's supposed to be blogged last month!

Good Life, or not

Note: My Photobucket is up! Oh yes, no more ugly notice! I gotta be more careful with the photos I upload there. Never knew my header means so much to me until its gone... And my button too.

Oh yea, guess who's blogging from her new lappie? Hehehehe. Yeap, I finally got myself a laptop and now I'm using Windows Live Writer. WLW doesn't work on my desktop I don't know why so I wish I won't be encountering any problem publishing this later.

...........................................................................................................................................

Last Sunday I followed my mum to the KB tamu and before that, we had our breakfast at the 1st floor of the KB wet market. We shared table with couple of aunties (my mum's friends too) and they were talking.. or rather gossiping about another auntie who wasn't there that time.

Out of curiosity, I asked my mum where do the sons of the auntie work now. They're about my age, just a year or more younger than me and... they're doing nothing now.

NOTHING! Not studying, not working, just stay at home and... I don't know, eat, sleep, go toilet and watch TV? A 24 years old young lad doing nothing! My goodness.

I put up a smile and looked at my mum....

"Waaaaaa.... Hern hao ming hor?"
"Hao ming ni der tou er."

Okay, I know you guys don't understand the above conversation at all.

I was telling my mum that I thought that they're very "lucky" to have such good life and my mum said lucky my head.

-_-"

What? Don't you think that they're very lucky? Mind you, they're not born with silver spoon hor, not even bronze... maybe plastic lah, like me. I had to work my ass off after graduating from secondary level, saved money for my diploma... then worked part time to pay for my own expenses for my HND days, and now... now....! I'll be going back to study soon and I still couldn't escape my "suay-ness". Sigh... Sien eh. I need a part time job. Any takers?

I digress.

How many of you know people whose old enough to be independent yet behave like a parasite? No money to study? Not good in studying? Then work lor. Stay at home wait for money drop from sky ah?

The worst case will be, malas!

Young young don't study. Then old liao hiam (being choosy) in getting a job again. Too hot lah, too tired lah, too far lah, salary too small lah.... you so lihai you go be your own boss lah. Do something productive. Don't just sit there and blame the world for being unfair.

Weird.

One of my mum's ladyboss punya son lagi steady. Coming 30 years old liao... everyday stay at home "play computer" nia. Told the mum he wanna study this study that, do this do that, go this country that country to learn, in the end said too "tiring" and gave up. What the heck!

He "good life", no need to work also got money to spend. Parents rich mah, ngor-tei-mm-han-tak-kom-toh-ker-lor. Hahahhaha. Why am I using Cantonese to blog?

I really don't know how is he going to survive if *touchwood* the parents are no longer for him one day. Who can he harap on? Can he handle all by himself? Wait... can he even support himself after finishing the inheritance? Ntah...

I really don't know how some people can have such carefree life. Yes, I'd heard of the phrase "Live like no tomorrow", but... I think that means live with no regrets, and not asking you to finish all your money today buying something you want, and tomorrow go steal mangoes from your neighbors. What about your family? What about those who loves you? No need to think about them is it?

How many years can our parents support us? Is it time for us to repay their kindness already? Hahahhaa, or you're thinking... "I don't ask money from them good enough liao lor, ask me give them money? Slow slow wait lah... Langsat ripe and drop liao also don't know got or not...".

That's what an auntie told me when we had a conversation about "Kids nowadays..."

She said, "I don't harap my kids to give me money next time.. They don't ask me to give them money good enough liao.... Sigh."

While some kids (adults who still depends on others to feed them) are sitting at home doing nothing, there's also parents who never get satisfied with their already-brilliant-and-filial children.

Not going to name names here, but... I do have friends (a handful, I'm glad to have friends like them rather than some parasites honestly) with parents who put super high hopes in their children, in terms of repaying them financially... or doing heaps of house chores.

Why ah? When the baby was still in the tummy, parents only hope for the baby to be healthy and dare not ask more. But when the baby grew healthily, then they expect the baby to get straight As in the report book, excel in sports and know how play all sort of musical instruments. Get a good job and give monthly allowance to parents. Then marry some nice people with good family background, give birth to grandchildren and yadda yadda yadda.

I really cannot tahan when someone tried to compare me with another person. Lucky my mum is not like that. "You see so-and-so's daughter give the mother a LV bag and $2k angpao for CNY ah... So-and-so's son belanja the parents go China makan angin ah... you leh? Still need me to cook you dinner. Why my life so bitter?"

*roll eyes*

(I have great imaginations and watched too much TV... )

Can't we all just feel content with our current lives?
Give more, expect less.

Get-Together with His Majesty in Belait

Before I proceed, its important to let you all know that I did asked for permission for those pictures I took with my colleagues and students. And they're aware of the fact that I might post it up in my blog.

So yeah, no drama please this time.

I arrived school at 6.45am and car-pool with the girls because it's almost impossible to get a parking there. Thanks for Hjh Zu and her hubby for giving us a lift.

We're chit-chatting at the waiting area and couldn't hold our tears while talking about the death of one of our student.... Very pretty, adorable, obedient and loved by all of us. Life was just too short for her...

Okay, stop that gloominess Nonnie! This is suppose to be a happy and exciting post!

The beautiful padang

The Stage
My Darlings =)
(SheepishAcai, Hjh Zu and Arniza)

Oh yes, and 2 of them own a blog!
Do check out Arniza's one because she made it as an assignment and we had fun letting her student surfed through her blog and answered questions by commenting.

So cool right?
Their lecturer taught them how to blog!
I think I'll excel in it and get an A for it pasal.... I'd already won the "Best Personal Blogger"!
Hhahahahhhaaa. Snob.

Us again...

It was so hot (even at 7am) that I couldn't bear to let my hair down and flipped it nonchalantly acting so cool with my sunnies (which.. I left it in my car. ARGH!!!!) and had to tie my hair up into a pony tail.

Our favorite stall
They serve the best burger in town!
KFC, Sugarbun, Jollibee, McD all step aside.

First Aiders

Superman wannabe!

That boy was enjoying walking with his "cape" and note than his "spandex" was suppose to be tied on his head later as "dastar". Sorry, gotta crop out his head else later I'm going to get hate comments from anonniemouss again.

Policemen on duty

While waiting for our burgers, we heard announcement asking owner of a Sunny to move his car away and just less than 5 minutes, the tow truck came.

Damn syok you know. My colleagues insisted that we waited until the car got towed away, I took pictures and post it up my blog. Hahahhahaaa. So even when our burgers were ready, we still stood there watching.

3 minutes gone... 5 minutes.... 10 minutes!

The policemen were still there standing waiting for the owner to come and drive his car away.
Potong steam.

Yeap, we didn't get to see the car got towed away. The owner came like 15 minutes later. I'm just curious about the official waiting time after the policemen announce and before they take action and tow the car away.

I love my burger

My colleagues

The grand stand

LOL!
He asked me to make him taller.

Can you see my sweat patches? Yes, it was that hot!
Lucky I wasn't wearing white.

Here comes!

LOL!
If you can't read the notice, it says...
"Tidak dibenarkan berjaja di kawasan ini."

That spot used to be where hawker stalls were located, and they're moved to the other end for the actual day.

Fatherly love

HM's Ride

I gotta say that the security was much tighter this year. I was told not to take picture of the car but, everyone was doing that! And this time, I couldn't sneak pass the police and get to the media area like last year.

The medias

with their really long lenses

My compact camera is no fight lah. Give me few more years, then I might get a DSLR. Uncle Jan said once I start having it, I can't stop but splurge more and more money getting more. Scary!

Bumped into Liza
Love her aviator shade and why ah, her hairs always look very nice.

The ex-d.o office which looks kinda haunted

Men at work

Kids having fun

The paparazzi

Yes, I had to tiptoe, strength my hand and tried my best not to move while taking those pictures. Everyone was pushing and I was lucky not to get molested unlike the poor Mrs. G. Sigh.. those pervs who took advantage of the event should rot in hell!

My colleagues told me that they could literally saw and smell armpits brushing against their shoulders near to their faces. Gali lah.

Our beloved Sultan,
His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah,
the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam

who gives us peace, free education, free medication, fuel subsidization and
tax free to our country.

Yes, I shook his hand!

We're all so excited and Shirley claimed that,
"OMG! This is even better than my wedding! I feel so excited!"

Lol! Yes, very exciting indeed.

LOL! They're forced to be educated now

Not sure if its just pure coincidence or the authorities read my blog....
Take a look yourself.

No no, I'm not that boh-liao posting you photo that looks non-sensical to you. Look closer, I swear you'd seen this before! Its not just some parking lot okay.

Still doesn't ring a bell?
Bah....

How about this one?

From this post

Aaaaaaaaahhh.. Now you remember right?

Maybe it looks very different without the cars blocking, and also cones lying a little further out on the road.

I went to MOE (Old Airport) today and to my surprise, road entrances are no longer jam-packed with parking idiots! Yipppeeee! I don't have to turn one big round just to get in the parking lot anymore.

Yet, there's still one stubborn black sheep who parked right after the cone thinking he could cheat it maybe?

Oh well, 80% dropped in parking idiots is a very good result don't you think?
