Girly Bloggers Sungkai and Singing 09.09.08

Lots of photos ahead.

Actually.. lots of things to blog but no time because

1) wanted to blog this afternoon but I think the whole Seria power failure
2) when I want to blog in my suite (room in hostel), WAVE is always acting up on me
3) when the internet is working fine, I no mood to blog but just want to finish my TVB drama.

So yeah... this is a belated post.

assorted2

Remember the above picture that I posted in the previous entry?
LOL. I was bored and thus "stickered" their faces with what I felt represents them?

Cat for Maurina because,
1) Mau sounds a bit liao meow?
2) in Chinese, cat is pronounced as "Mau".

Tin for TINa~
Obviously....

Rose for Rosie

King of Hearts for me

Army tank for WARdah

And Atul's the hardest.
I just googled for "tools" and put it on her face because "Tul" sounds like "tool"?

Free stylered

Atul and I doing the Dong-Gam-Chiu-Yan signature pose.
I bet she doesn't who is Dong-Gam-Chiu-Yan.

He's Crayon Shinchan's favorite super hero who always "B B B B B B B B B B B" to release power. Nevermind la, I think no one knows what I'm talking about now.

atul-mau

Oh, if you haven't realized.. all of us were wearing red, except for Mau obviously who didn't the message I think. She was wearing her "tux". Then she took out a red colour pen to have a little redness in her. Sekali her bow looked like.... dragonfly. LOL. And Atul's flower brooch macam mahu mati already then she changed into a small pin.

She's so cute lah! She poured the whole glass of ice on the table and screamed so loud as if a giant cockroach just fly by. Then hor, someone (forgot who liao sorry) gave us tips on how to see if a girl's papayas big. Then War became so conscious and kept her arms covering her chest and don't let us see.

Mau, our sassy camerawoman                                     The reds and pink

Since Mau wasn't wearing red, so we boycotted her and asked her to take picture for us. Then hor, while taking picture for us.. instead of her taking a step backward to fit us all in the picture, she asked us, "Eh... ke belakang semua mu".

Then we all like kindergarten kids obediently took a step backward without having a second thought. Only after taking the picture, then it came to my senses that... why we all "gostan" instead of her? There's 5 of us who had to move, and there she was.. standing comfortably beside the counter. Kanasai one. Hahhahahahaaaa. We're so easy to manipulate.

After dinner, we all went to War's house to play SingStar!

Man.. they can really sing! Feel paiseh to sing infront of them because I can't sing well and I jarang listen to English songs that's why I'm not very familiar with most of the songs.

Competition in progress                            War's super lazy Cat, Michii

Everybody, I introduce you Garfield's disciple... Michii!

P1190600 (Medium)

This cat is so damn lazy! It was so noisy in the living room and at first we thought it was sleeping with his belly up, which is actually quite cute from far. I never know cats can actually sleep like that.

Then Atul and I stepped forward to check the cat out sekali it's eyes were opened lah! He's not even sleeping, he's just.... chillax (Super lame word that don't know who invent one... Chillax = Chilling + Relax) ? Then hor, I move my foot and swing on its face to kacau it hoping he would move or at least give some reaction, then hor.. no matter what we did, including stomping the floor next to him (lightly lah...), he still didn't move any of his muscles... even his whiskers!

Damn lazy lah this cat!

And Wardah was complaining to her cat, "MICHIIIIII..... You're embarrassing me!".

Mau cut off and Tina looked.... defeated?

And while Tina and Mau were busy competing, Atul and me busy racing in Mario kart and strumming on Guitar Heroes, War quietly went to her "multi-purpose" dining room and uploaded the pictures up her facebook.

P1190606 (Medium)

When we all saw her iMac, we all gasped "PINK MAC!!!!!"

Steady hor, matching with her baju again.

Short Note: Have you join the contest?

..........................................................................................................................................................

First thing first.

Venue: Anthony Abell College, Seria
Date: Tuesday, 16 September
Time: 1.30pm

Help them.

I'm pretty sure most of you had read stories about the 3 struggling siblings abandoned by their heartless parents who decided to "start a new life" without their children.

Totally insane isn't it?

If you had not read about it, click here and here and I'm pretty sure you're going to feel pinch in your heart and eat up all the vegetables on the plate. Even the slow Espeed wouldn't make me go whining because we all are living in a much more comfortable life than them.

Seriously, who are we to complain when they're still so young drinking rain water they collected from roof top and eating fishes from wherever they could get lucky with?

I'm sorry but I have to rant again. Before you go bugging your parents to buy you the latest laptop/ mobile phone / game consoles and dine out in flashy restaurants... think about them. They have to take care of themselves at such young age with zero resources! No TV, no internet, no computer, no air con, not even a decent home cook meal and clean water to drink!

I'm really glad that Liza and Iskandar had created awareness regarding this issue and what I do least is helping them to collect funds and me myself donating I guess.

So for those who lives in BSB and find it difficult to drive all the way to Seria to make donation, if you know me personally, I can help you to send the money down.

I have class on Saturday in UBD so if any of you wish to donate, and you trust me.. maybe you can leave message in my tagboard and I can arrange a meeting time in the campus?

........................................................................................................................................................................

Okay, assorted nonsense ahead.

I got my first super advanced birthday gift yesterday!

Badli and I went to Takara for the sungkai buffet yesterday (as if I'm puasa-ing) and after eating, I wanted to go to EuroClassic to take a look at the stapler that I had always wanted.

They're only left with cat, mouse, and frog.

I know its weird but I like the wacky frog more. Maybe because its green. I have the thing for green colour because my (Chinese) name sounds like "Little-Green". So I picked it up and looked at the sales attendant.

"Can I take picture of it?", I asked... wanting to post it up my wishlist post so that people who wishes to buy me a stapler knows exactly which one I want.

"Sorry mum... No cameras allowed in here"

Then Badd-Badd came over and took the stapler from my hand, said manly to the lady.. "Wrap it up".

HAHAHHAHA! What the heck! Wrapping up a stapler?!

He told me that I'm not allowed to use it till my birthday and today I brought it to class liao. =p
Sekali just when I was about to "kai-zhang" the stapler, baru realized inside don't have "bullet".

o_O!

Cute right my stapler?

..................................................................................................................................................................

Went to Capers last Wednesday with 5 others girly bloggers.

Am still waiting for pictures from them. So far only Wardah rajin upload to facebook nia.

.......................................................................................................................................................

Look look!

Minah came up with a better idea with my recycling shopping bag post!

Her "bag-file"?

As you can see, instead of doing it mine which is erm.. opening the file like a book, she did it the other way round leaving the backbone of the file as the bottom of the bag. I don't know how to explain but I think you peeps can get me lah.

Bah, gtg..
Still got tons to do.

Since I'm back in Seria I'll have more time to check my blog and reply comments and messages.

So ya, leave me message if you wish to donate some money to the poor siblings.

Birthday Wish list for 2008

wishlist
(Seems I got tears rolling in my eyes. So Manga-ish except my eyes not round enough)

I had created my birthday wish list for this year for my beloved friends so that they know what to get for me this year.

Take note of the keyword here, "FRIENDS".
Plus... if you're a friend, you'll know when is my birthay. Or at least Facebook or Friendster will remind you. LOL.

Remember, remember... the _ _ _ _ _ of _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ .

I'm not going to put out the list here because I don't want to get judged by total strangers out there whom don't even know me personally thinking that I super bu-yao-lian requesting people to buy things for me.

Click here to view my wishlist, in my backup wordpress blog.
Sorry, its password protected. Not for everyone to view.
If you're a friend, you'll have my number and that's the password.

The supposingly romantic night...

Out of nowhere Bobby suggested we shall "yau-cheh-hor" (driving around aimlessly) around Bandar area last Thursday because I felt kind of stressed out that night. Why Bandar area? Because Bobby said he had always wanted to walk around the 'park' and so we parked the car and walked towards our destination.

It just rained at the area thus the road was still wet, even the air smelled fresher.

night1

We stopped and just hang around at the railings, looking at the water taxis zooming around and the wind kissing our faces. He stick his face next to mine and I could even feel his body warmth. The night was just so quiet and cozy.

I was starring at the dark murky water. He turned his head around, looked at me and smiled. Just when he was about to open his mouth and say something, I looked at him and asked...

"The water so dark now ah, if I fall into the river sure die one hor?"

He couldn't believe what I just said and jaw-dropped. "Wah lao eh you, it was suppose to be a romantic moment and you spoiled it lah!"

Damn! Cannot rewind the moment liao. I gasped and just looked at him thinking what can I do or say to remedy my super-potong-stim words.

Sekali just when I was about to squeeze out something romantic, he looked away and said...

"True also, so dark now really cannot see.. If got wave more kick."

"Why cannot? Just keep swimming upwards can liao lar!"

"Because you can't even tell the direction, which way up and which way down. A lot people drowned not because they don't know how to swim, but because they're in the turbulence of the water and don't know if they're swimming upward, or downward or forward mah."

"Err.. okay. What happen to our "romantic moment" ah? Bah.. I'm scare now. You know I so clumsy later really fall into the river mati tia.. Let's leave the place."

night2

There, our supposingly romantic night.
Super fail.

What we do in SHBIE's lab...

If I tell you what we do in Dr. Leong's class is either to blog or to draw, does it make you feel envious?

No I'm not kidding. I mentioned before in my blog that one of my project is to create an educational blog and most of the time during that particular lesson, we're either surfing or blogging in the lab. Cool huh?

(It would be really enjoyable if computers/internet is less turtle-ish)

And last Thursday, we're given a task of creating a drawing in MS Excel using the drawing tools. Soly mentioned that she's gonna draw Wall.E and so I thought I might as well try that too.

It wasn't difficult for me as I taught my students how to draw in MS Word too. I drew Sponge Bob and Crayon Shinchan using Paint too. So I really enjoyed this task, even though it's only 2% contributed to our results.

My Wall.E and (pregnant) Evewall1

I opened my blog (Spiritual Garden) and Fandi saw it and said, "Kau rupanya yang blog atu....", and later pointed at my profile picture and my header and continued his sentence, "Don't look like you also".

o_O!

"Because I don't bother to dress up and put on make up when I go to school (both uni and my working place). I will look better if you bump into me in town...", defending myself weakly.

How I look on a daily basis

wall2

I'm normally too lazy to put on concealer or mascara because I would rather sleep till the very last minute and again, too lazy to style my hair... as in putting mousse on it. Thus, I'm always seen with a headband and pony tail, clean and fast to do.

Soly and her DoraField

wall3

That dialogue box was for the "Smelly Cat" lyrics. Its a combination of Doraemon and Garfield. LOL.

Finah Fandi's Spongebob

wall4

So funny. That guy is so clueless and drew a cuboid using two rectangles and lines to draw them. I sat beside him and went like, "Why you so susah-susah draw that? The cuboid is available in the basic shapes what..."

Had to update my student blog soon...

Can you guess?

Which country is this shirt from?

(scroll down for answer)

shirt

Went to Ye's shop (to refill water. I'm so not going to drink water that's not filtered from hostel nor buying bottled mineral water. So my solution is filling from Ye's shop or Bobby's place) and Heng uncle took out 3 shirts from a plastic bag, grinned and asked me to guess where is that shirt from.

I made almost 10 guesses and gave up.
Bobby made 12- 15 guesses and still couldn't get the correct answer.

So here, I'm asking all of you to guess. Unlimited entry, guess all you can.

The prize will be, the shirt shown above.
:p

Bobby and the Lee's are not allowed to guess and that includes you Miss Pingko!

p/s: I have lots to blog, just hope I have the time.

........................................................................................................................................................................

After 20+ guesses we finally have a correct answer from Jannice!

The answer is.... dang dang dang dang...

BANGLADESH!

Uncle Heng's worker balik kampung and bought him 3 shirts when he's back in Brunei. LOL. Unique right? When was the last time you see a shirt from Bangladesh you tell me. I don't even know what they wear until I'd seen one myself.

Uncle tried to convince Bobby to wear it and my fatty of course don't want lah. I suggested uncle to donate to Tze-Chi and uncle said maybe he would just give the shirts back to the worker so he can wear it himself. So no give face.

Really ah? Nobody wants it?
Free shirt wor...
Unique wor....
Free delivery too? LOL.

Bias

bias (PREFERENCE)
noun
1 [C usually singular; U] a tendency to support or oppose a particular person or thing in an unfair way by allowing personal opinions to influence your judgment.

And that is what I'm going to talk about in this post. Just a short one I think. Got heaps of work waiting for me to do and I just need a break so here am I blogging.

On last couple of days, a friend and I were having some conversation and I was bow-wow-ing (I hope you all get what I mean by that) about someone whom really get on my nerves for being irresponsible, inconsiderate and has problem with punctuality.

At the beginning of our conversation, my friend listened to my complaints and agreed with me that that particular person was such a pain in the arse and of course, ranted with me as well. But just when I mentioned that person's name, my friend instantly reacted to it and said,

"I know that person! He/She is so and so (continue babbling how are they connected) ...."

"And?", I just looked at my friend waiting for the next line...

"Maybe, you pushed he/she a little too much?"

I couldn't help but started to shouted and raised my voice,

"What the hell! Just 5 minutes ago you were nodding and agreeing with how kanasai that person was and now just because it turns out that you know that person, you're siding her and start questioning me?!!! HOW COULD YOU!"

See, this is what happen.
BIAS!

(Okay, I have to admit I'm biased towards people whom are closer to me and I like. I guess we're all like that)

I can give you another example.

You are driving and there's this car speeding really fast from behind. I don't know for you but I'll sure curse in my heart, "Cheh.. drive so fast hurry to where kan?".

(If its in Chinese it will be worse, "Cheh..drive so fast hurry to reincarnate is it?".)

Then if you realized it's your friend whose driving, sure change mood one and feel happy then sms him/her, "Oi! Where you go har? Your car very fast leh. :p when free tea ah".

Or some idiot who park at the road side and make it difficult for others to pass.

"%^%#@!$!!! Basket! Think the father own the road one is it? Go and scratch the car baru tau."

After knowing its a friend, "Aiyah.... he/she must be in a hurry. Wonder how is he/she now ah? Long time don't see him/her liao...".

Even the other day when Shirley was driving us up. There was this kijang on the fast lane but only driving at 80~100km/hr and Shirley was already behind him and that driver majal don't seem like going to move in the slow lane.

So Vicky said, "Tail gate that car. Your car BM what, sure people give face and give way one.. If I'm driving my old Vios, nada orang duli tu..."

Hahhahaaa. How sad but true.

If you see a luxury car or sport car behind ho, sure will sik-do give way and side to the left lane one. If you see a normal car which is more than 5 yrs liao overtaking you, sure will feel beh-song and want to chase back one just to prove that your car more lihai one.

Bah.. I'm done ranting.
Gotta blog for my project blog somemore. Will paste up the link when done.
Cya.

Nostalgia

 room1

It was a last minute plan that three of us came up with while having our weekly luncheon after work, going up to BSB jalan-jalan.

Took a quick shower, dressed up and waited for the fresh-from-oven Mrs. James, that's Shirley to pick both Vick and I up from our places. I made a request from Shirl to drop me at the hostel to pick up the books I borrowed from the library so that I can start to do some readings and draft my essay.

p.s. Shirley IS a Malay/Muslim. Everyone kept asking me the same question after reading their wedding post.

p.p.s. UBD library is so cool! We can check out the books with the machines to scan and stamp the return dates ourselves! And the machine will print out a receipt later. Or... I'm just being very sakai/suaku.

So Shirl parked her car, kept squealing, "I can't believe I'm parking my Bimmie here in the hostel! I used to hop into other people's car and now I'm driving my own car here!", walked down the memory lane (hahahhaa. the walkway to my block lah) and told me that my block is one of the cleanest block in the hostel. I love looking up while walking seeing other girls' rooms and see how they decorate it (if the curtains are not drawn).

And sadly, they do agree with me about the awful smell in my room and how ugly my walls are. Vicky saw my laundry bucket and reckoned that it could fit it perfectly due to her small frame and I witnessed the whole process and laughed my head off! That girl thought that she has 缩骨功 I guess.

缩骨功 - the kungfu of being Bendy and Flexible like those Chinese acrobats.

You saw the pictures of Vicky and Shirley looking at the doors of the entrance? We don't have full length mirrors in our rooms hence the only time we can check how we look overall is when we step out the building. So if you ever come across to the hostel, you will see girls usai their tudungs, pulling and stretching their baju or do the last checking of their hairs and looks.

That, is our full length mirror.

room2

The final remark after the visit that Shirley made was,
"Urgh! I'm am never ever going to stay in the hostel after my 4 years here!"

o_O!

p.p.p.s. I do have a topic in my head to blog about. Let's see if I can finish drafting it before going up BSB tomorrow.
