Altar Tea Cup as Medicine Cup ?

Went to KB hospital to visit a friend justnow.

And when the nurse came over and gave the pills to my friend, we all crinkled our brows in dismay…

Umm… this is so “tai-kak-lai-si” touchwood leh…

Why is the hospital using these bright red Buddhist altar tea cups as medicine cups?

Lucky there’s only one given and not three with tea / wine in it.
If pour it in a straight line then really like offerings liao…

Cultural insensitive? Maybe you should mention to them cos not many are culturally savvy. By doing so, you are educating them as well.

My friend got discharged yesterday and I'm not going to the hospital anytime soon. So, I hope they read my blog instead...

Cultural insensitive really describe it perfectly

Unofficially on behalf on MOH, I truly apologise to anyone who has been offended. I am sure this was not done on purpose.
A link to this blog has been sent to the relevant people for investigation.

No worries.

Of course this is not done on purpose and I do hope the authorities will understand how we'll feel upon seeing the "medicine cup".

And also, thank you so much for sending this post to the relevant authorities. I really appreciate your attention on this matter.
