Back in action.. soon

Yeap yeap.
I’m back in Brunei yesterday and nope, we didn’t get quarantine.

Received a semi-good news once I turned on my phone.

Erm.. spent almost 2 hours unpacking and sorting out the gifts I bought for friends.

I have to say this first, I didn’t buy everyone a gift so please ah kawan-kawan… don’t marah if I didn’t buy you anything. It’s my trip anyway, meaning, I should focus on me myself more right? Right?

Took almost 4GB of photos so please do give me some time to blog. I will try to blog my travelogue on a day-to-day basis and I certainly hope I won’t miss out anything that’s blog-worthy.

I miss BANGKOK! I miss the friends there.
I miss the convenience.
But, not so much of Phnom Penh, albeit I do have a lot to blog about the Cambodia trip. That country is just so… disturbingly charming.

Okie.
I need to catch up my series from Astro On Demand.
Bye~

Cool name!

I super love the Chinese name of this shop.

Operated by 浪子 who 回头ed?

Sorry, only those who can understand Chinese knows what was I trying to say.

Hello from Phnom Penh

Finally! All my birthday wishes I made on last birthday came true! Passed the most important test in my life, got super flying colours for my UBD exam papers and... VISITED CAMBODIA (just for Angkor-ism)!

I was mesmerized and stunted for the beauty of that place. It´s just so incredible that I find it hard to find any suitable vocabs to describe my feelings.

I think I´ve slowly fallen in love with this country...

Everything is so new and too ¨out of the box¨ for us!
Very sakai you know!

More updates when I´m back in Brunei.

Today´s itin - Toul Sleng Musuem, maybe the killing field then back to Bangkok (for more shopping!)

p/s: There´s no 7/11 or shopping malls in PhnomPenh. We spent most of our money on food and transport... ONLY!

Introduce you my latest fav. book

Written by a famous blogger from Taiwan, IllyQueen.

Despite of the ... erm... very sassy title, this book is not about how to slave your boyfriend/hubby, show your "girlpower" or whatsoever, but how women should stand up for themselves, be confident and feel good about yourself.

There's this particular quote which is my favorite of all...

“如果每個人都有32C、24、36的三圍,如果每個人的乳溝都能夾死蒼蠅,如果每個人都穿上名牌,如果每個人都化一樣的妝,如果每個人都變得一樣美麗,那么,你怎么認為,你跟別人不一樣?”

Made me LOL-ed.

Okay, the quote says...

"If everyone owns the figure of 32C, 24, 36,
if everyone's cleavage can "kapit lalat" to death.
if everyone is wearing branded cloths,
if everyone is putting on the same type of make up,
if everyone can be so beautiful,
then,
what is the difference between you and everyone else?"

What happens when you're too karit with potatoes..

I tried making my own version of (vegetarian) cottage pie using whatever ingredients I can find in the fridge. So I got greedy and ended up putting tomatoes, carrots, egg plants, onions and only 4 small bijis of potatoes for the topping.

See what happened.

:S

The potatoes I mashed was not enough to cover it completely...
Super fail.

  • Clothing (Shorts / PJs / 3 Tops)
  • Sun block
  • Books to read in the plane
  • Duck tape
  • Facial Mist & Mask
  • Photocopy IC / passport / Itineraries

  • Dettol / Hand Sanitizer / Wet tissues / Tissues / Bobby just bought me Dettol Disinfectant Spray (Yes, I kiasi)
  • Comb
  • Tiger balm lookalike
  • Scrunchies
  • Vanity kit

The lines under my eyes

Wearing a pair of sunnies seem a great way to act chio or act like a super star nowadays. A pair of oversize sunnies is a MUST-HAVE for everyone!

1

But problem is…. for me like me who owns nose bridge flatter than flip-flops… which is so near to the word “non-existent”, haih…. instead of resting the sunnie on the bridge, it is my cheeks which support it.

Like this.

2

Can you see the gap between my nose bridge and the glasses?
And that is why I ALWAYS have lines on my face after wearing ‘em.

My ultimate tool for camwhoring

I was so happy that my QuikPod arrived just in time!!!

1

No idea what QuikPod is?

Bought it from eBay.
Seriously.. eBay is a shopping paradise for lazy bum like me. It’s easier to compare prices and window-shopping in eBay may sound a little pathetic for you but.. like Amri (Mr. Gokil) said.. save minyak cos no need to travel so many places and no need see muka of sales attendants. Not good meh?

2

For you all who loves to camwhore.. you may consider about this.

3

Instead of getting usual pictures like these (as above), not much of a background.. big pancake faces (sorry.. I know it’s not the distance fault that cause my face looks so big and round… but I’m sure other does)…

this, is what you can get with help from QuikPod.

4

Hehehe. Better lah hor?

I guess the good thing about having a QuikPod… No need to worry that someone will ran away with your camera when you ask strangers to help you take pictures.

Just that, I wonder if Mau will feel malu camwhoring with me with a QuikPod.
Karang people staring…

This poem is so damn true!

Eyes staring at teachers,
Ears listening in a way,
What's the point?
If our minds are away.

Eyelids heavy,
Lazy and sleepy,
Heads are shaky and feeling dizzy

Closing eyes for just a second,
Wishing for another, every second
Images forming inside our heads,
Everything just seemed to be about beds.

Lee Wen Ru MB3S

Isn’t this what everyone has in their head all the time when sitting in the class?

LOL!
And… Ru won a trophy out of this!
Steady or not?
He completed this poem in just 15minutes.

Meet Dayna

They got married on 888 and 10 months later, they have their little miracle popped out.

1
Meet Dayna Arisya Hong.

It is always fun to visit friends who just gave birth because I’m curious as a cat having tons of questions to ask. Like, was the process painful and all sort of little random things just to you know.. get the thrill of it and freak myself out. Hehhehee.

I’m secretly having a stats of “Women and Delivery” in my heart. Most says it hurts like a *toot* but also.. there were some really healthy and kuat one saying it’s not as scary as what you heard in those rumours.

Anyway, my super-kuat colleague Shirley gave birth to baby Dayna yesterday at 1+am and when we visited her in the evening, she’s active as a bull! She didn’t look weak or tired, she just looked so… normal!

2
There, Baby Dayna and The-Auntie-who’s-obsessed-with-kambings~

Having more short post to blog..
Ciao.

P1020143

It was fun, definitely way fun-er than having our usual eat-outs in Belait district, with air-conditioners and people cleaning up for us after eating. Hehhehe. I’m not complaining that it’s not fun eating at the library or dewan okay. It’s just that the atmosphere that afternoon was really really chirpy and everyone was just smiling and joking.

Probably because it’s the last day of term 2 anyway…

10. First picture Bobby took using my camera. Epic fail.

P1020164

After trunch, went to Bobby’s place and left my car there and hopped in his as he willingly offer to drive me around… and back to Seria.

I was showing him how awesome my new Elsie (camera) was and asked him to play with it. And… the very first picture he took is the (above) crappy, blurry picture that has multiple shadows on everything.

Yes baby, you’re super duper artistic that even with iA (intelligent auto.. remarkable function in my camera that allows any idiots to take splendid photo) … you manage to screw it up. You steady.

11. Sunset, chingchai took it when the car it moving… again, with iA and nothing else.

P1020172 copy

I am yet to discover all those wonders that shutter, aperture and iso do.

12. CHALIE CHUBBIES ON THE LOOSE!

P1020175 P1020168P1020182

By the way… I forgot to mention this.

When Bobby saw me, the very first thing he said to me was..
“OH. MY. GOD. YOU LOOK….. *continue with a puffer fish look*”

Yes. Thank you baby. Thank you very much. What the heck right?! We just met like last week.. and within a week I gained so much weight till my boyfriend had to “OMG” me! No thanks to all the yummy breakfasts my colleagues prepared man.

Then.. then… makan angin soon again. Haih… no can be thin loh.

13. My beloved ckp baby

P1020184 P1020185

14. Breakfast @ Sutera Biru.

P1020189 P1020190 P1020192

And the picture on the right is Cha-Liong, something I had never tried. Its cakoi wrapped in cheong-fun skin. Not bad not bad.

And.. we ate way more than this of course. Just that.. I was so excited when the food was served and terus makan.. We ordered fried lo bak gou lah, siew mai lah.. lo mai kai laa…

The chicken porridge on the left is ichiban-desioooo~ Creamy porridge with shredded chicken, telur masin punya egg yolk and century egg! High cholesterol till… nvm~ nyaman can liao.

15. The handle of the tea cup was too small for Bobby’s fat fingers. Sampai he had to hold it like that.

P1020195

16. Spotted! Bobby junior!!!

P1020196

17. I really thought that kid looked like Bobby when he was a kid lor. See, the eyes sama one… Chubby chubby one some more, except.. Bobby said he was fatter than this kid when he was young… –_-“

P1020197

18. Wanted to take picture of that little boy but.. he kept shying away, yet curi-curi look at me boh.

P1020198

And that’s Bobby with that “Malas layan you” look.

19. Last picture for the post.

P1020217

Baby Ethan, Jeff’s son, who weighs damn “solid” with really firm muscles and not just flabby arms. He’s okay with anyone who tries to carry him. I love sporting babies! Those touch-also-cannot-talk-also-cannot babies are damn annoying sometimes… Crap! I think I was like that when I was a kid!

And Ethan’s kung-kung and pa-pa in the background preparing for the birthday-singing, cake-cutting session.

Okay, that’s it for now..
Visiting Shirley’s baby later. So exciting eh!

My old Lumix is no longer a “钟无艳”

Ever since my old lumix’s paint started to fall off, I called it 钟无艳.

4

Nevermind if you don’t know who is 钟无艳.
And today after lunchie with the besties, I went shopping alone at Soon Lee and bought myself some stickers.

End result, *ta da*

5

Not exactly what you call perfect but, can liao lar.
Mai hiam eh sai liao.
Not easy to cut through that piece of sticker okay.

7

Not bad hor?

And… since Bobby disallowed me to bling my Elsie, err… a little sticker on the lens cap won’t hurt lah hor.

6

I’m beginning to love trying out different settings in my camera.

p/s: I’m so going to love my weekend this week!
If rajin I’ll take lots of pictures and blog ya.
