100 Day Project: Day 50 – A Picture of Your Most Frequented Place

Pandan area.

I work there, there’s a lot of restaurants there and… I use this crazy teapot roundabout almost everyday.

100 Day Project: Day 49 – A Picture of Where You Live

Why ah? This question like balik-balik one.. Day 33 already a picture of the house you grew up in. Then now a picture of where you live. To me, sounds a bit same same since, it’s still the same house.

There, the one in red try-to-be-circle.

100 Day Project: Day 48 – A Picture of Your Favourite Actress/Actor

I’m exactly a movie buff but for Johnny Depp, I’ll try not to miss any of his movies!

What’s in my mom’s freezer?

When I posted up this pic,

in my fb’s wall… it generates quite a number of comments and feedbacks.

Those are vegetarian 3-layers pork fyi. The texture is somewhat interesting, it’s a mixture of veg-ham and 蒟蒻, konnyaku.. a little chewy.

Hence, it inspires me to make a blog post about it, about frozen vegetarian food.

My mom’s stock. Enough to feed se-kampung.

FYI – there’s 3 refrigerators in the kitchen. One freezer for pure vegetarian food (which is totally crowded as you can see), another one.. for me, meat… with plenty of space, maybe like 3/10 utilized. The other one is those old typed which will form ice and every few months, you have to take everything out, wait for the ice to melt and keep wiping those smelly water with mixture of i-dunno-what-inside-but-i-see-blood-and-unknown-brown-streaks.

But I digress. Let’s get back to what I was saying.

Vegetarian food like to use “G” to replace the word “鸡” .. Chicken in Chinese. So you’re going to see a lot of “G” in names.

A common favorite to boil soup.

Mom has stopped using bones and meat to make soup, replacing with this stewed mutton. Hence I’m kind of used to seeing less oil floating on the surface and murky soup colour.

Veg balls made of.. cement. Hahhaah. 石灰粉 mah. Lime powder I think.

Burger patty, but have not tried this yet.

Fish slice again.

Nah, the 3 layer pork. Okay, there’s a nicer name for it.. Vegan meat loaf~

My favorite, vegetarian burger patty!
Replacing all sort of minced meat if need to cook any vegetarian food, like bolognese sauce.

Been looking for it quite some time and when I found it in Miri, terus sapu 3 packs of these.

Ikan masin

Kidney slices. I think only Chinese will know what is this for.

For sweet and sour.

Veg Prawn

Urgh! I loathe this!

And this too!

The ham that will sabo all other flavors.

Of course, it’s not like we eat these everyday. My mom eats vegetables more and truth to be told, all my vegetarian friends actually prefer eating vegetables than these mock meats. Just that, these mock meats make life easier (for beginners and chefs preparing banquet for vegetarians), I think?

There’s vegetarian abalone, shark fin, sea cucumber and so on.
Gotta give credits to those who create those don’t you think?

p/s: I really wish I can use vegetarian shark fin instead of the real one for my wedding reception, if any. Save planet mah. But sure kana people say I karit.

100 Day Project: Day 47 – A Picture of Your Favorite Place To Shop

Will never ever walk out empty-handed if I walk in!

*Never say never* auto-tuned. LOL. I think I watched too much of NigaHiga.

There’s just so many things to buy, to see, to smell and to try. And I don’t think there’s any girls who dislike shopping in Watson… are there?

100 Day Project: Day 45 – A Picture of Your Room

You’re seeing the corner of my room where I spend most of my time at, which… is pretty obvious why.

My cluttered table with all the neccessities, I know. And, I somehow spent like 2 minutes to sort of organize it already. The wall shelf that Bobby drilled it up last October 2010. I bought the black 3-tiers shelf from Millimewah and it’s only $9.90! Because my mom hates it when I leave my bag on the floor so I have to find a place for it.

… which, speaking of which, that I need to replace it soon.

And there’s a 19” Dell monitor which I’ve not used since 2008.
It’s working. So… any takers? Give me a price.

I need new bed sheets!

100 Day Project: Day 44 - A Picture of Someone You’re Told You Look Like

Felt intimidated when I saw Mau and Tina posted up celebrities. And.. the sad thing was, no one ever said I look like any celebrities.. But, I always look like a friend of theirs. Even male friends! Eye rolling smile

So… I think hard, and finally came up with this..

Not a celebrity.. but at least sikit-sikit well-known?

A lot of my friends said I look like Guu.
Even attitude and personality at some point.

100 Day Project: Day 43 – A Picture of Something You Can’t Function Without

Like Maurina, it’s INTERNET.

Assignments and researches? Get help from the Internet.

Social life? Facebook, blogs, twitter and so on.

Need to buy something? Ebay, blogshops and now even facebook shops!

So yeah.. I’m kinda highly dependent on Internet.. though I know I can live without it (for a short amount of time before I go all berserk)

100 Day Project: Day 42 – A Picture of Your Dream House

I can’t think of anything when I see the title.. but, I do remember when was the last time I  got excited seeing something I like and took picture of it.

When I stayed in Tiara Labuan Hotel last December, just across our room, I saw beautiful detached houses and a swimming pool in the middle. I was telling Bobby it will be a perfect neighbourhood if I can have my friends staying near me like that. You know, easier to get some salt and soy sauce in case anything run out in the house. Easy to find lami/mahjong kaki also. And just opposite these houses, there’s a beach.

(Though, I don’t know if it’s still a good idea ever since tsunami keeps attacking the shores)

Well, actually… any house with sweet loving family members and enough spaces for everything will be my dream house.

100 Day Project: Day 41 – A picture of your pet

Okay… not exactly my “pet” or our “pet”.
My last pet was a terrapin, and that was 6 – 7 years ago.
We can’t keep dogs because allmypreviouspetdogskanapoisoned!

It’s actually a stray cat, a very smart one, who always come to my backyard and starts meowing whenever she sees my mom cooking in the kitchen. And it works! My mom bought cat food just for this cat!

But this bloody cat will straight away leave and go have its own fun after makan, and comes again… when she’s hungry.

(And I don’t know how many batch of kittens she already gave birth. We have so so so many stray cats around and I HATE HAVING PAWS ON MY WINDSCREEN OKAY! NOT CUTE AT ALL! ESPECIALLY SEEING THEM GLIDING DOWN MY CAR WTF!!!)

100 Day Project: Day 40 – A Picture of Your Favourite Disney Character

This is a tough one for me… In the end, I narrowed down to one only. The one who makes me excited all the time when I see his action. And I hope you all won’t judge me on that.

He inspires me!

“A shrewd businessman and noted tightwad, his hobbies include diving into his money like a porpoise, burrowing through it like a gopher, and throwing coins into the air to feel them fall upon his skull”

100 Day Project: Day 39 – A Picture of Your Favourite Movie

I just love this movie… Yes, I’m in to chick flicks and admit it, you secretly love them too don’t you! I will not watch any horror movie, not very into action, can’t take war movies, so…. ya, I’m left with comedy, chick flicks and cartoons.

20 years ago, it was this…

I watched this more than 20 times when I was a kid! I learned my do-re-mi from this too.

If HK movies… I can watch these over and over again…

No matter how many times I watch “Fly me to Polaris” and “My left eye sees ghosts”, sure cry till fi-li-fe-leh. I know “My left eye sees ghosts” is a comedy but.. but.. I find it really touching when I knew, that naughty ghost was actually her husband who passed away trying to find her happiness. And when Sammi Cheng knew it, it was already too late. Cry till…

And, “Love Undercover”… hehehe, I still remember all the silly jokes inside.
”Fong-Chung-Sir”, “GO! GO! GO!”

Okay, nevermind.. no one is laughing.

100 Day Project: Day 38 – A Picture of The Best Part of Your Day

I need to nap everyday. Even if it’s for 10 minutes.
If I can get home early in the afternoon, I’ll nap for 3 hours. No kidding.
It’s really easy for me to sleep in the afternoon, like… less than 2 minutes I’ll be snoozing away.

That’s really the best part of my day.
(Any day I can take my afternoon for more than 3 hours is a good day)

100 Day Project: Day 37 – A Picture of The People You Spend Most of Your Time With

My beloved colleagues! Really, I see them more than my mom, my buddies and way way way more than my boyfriend. Sometimes I think I’m really blessed because I have the coolest people around me. Sporting, equally random and really funny.

Above photos were taken last Wednesday. We’re having a Girls night out steamboat.

Bonus photo:

Hottie spotted! No male strippers but at least got one cute guy from the tv. And thanks to Astro’s PVR, we rewind back and forth just to get this perfect moment of him. Anything for Deedz, the forgetful.

p/s: Something for us to remember. Yesterday on our way back from Sheepy’s crib, I left my fingers on the car window looking at the sun visor because I thought I need one for my car too. Deedz just hit the button and rolled up the window and my fingers terkapit!

It was painful for a moment but I just kept laughing. The accident was so so so silly! Deedz, no need to feel bad ya.

100 Day Project: Day 35 – A Picture of Your Favorite Place To Eat

If I have a lunch date with Bobby, this is a place we’ll definitely go!

Gold Leaf (Batu Bersurat branch)

I was cracking my head thinking where’s my favorite place to dine in, but.. I don’t have any particular favorites. Perhaps Soi Heng and Universal but those are like, places I biasa? Hence I pick Gold Leaf.

Bak kut keh with cakoi dipped in garlic and soy sauce! Wooo~~~~~~

100-day project: Day 34 - A picture of your currently most played CD

To be honest, I’ve lost the patience to listen to one whole CD from the same person so I usually go for mix-cd.
But currently, I’m listening to this. Not the most-played but at least something.
