An inexpensive way to organize your bags

I'm sure a lot of you ladies have the very same problem.
Too many bags! But never enough.
*chuckles*

While starring at my bags lying on the floor, I came up with an idea on how to organize them. Fast, inexpensive and no prior knowledge on sewing or whatsoever needed.

You need:

A belt.

1

And some S-hooks.

2

The belt which I'm using came free with a pant. I chose it because it already has big hoops so it will be more convenient for me to put those hooks in. If you're using other belts, just enlarge those holes on the belt big enough to put the hooks in.

And.. hang it up.

3

I don't know for you, but I like my bags organized vertically as I felt that it saves more space.

4

See. Hang it behind your door and you're really to go anytime.

Tummies / My cooking utensils in hostel / Way to remove ugly stains on wall

Honestly... this is what I feel like now..

The above picture was taken yesterday morning when I woke up at 7am and couldn't sleep anymore WHEN THERE'S NO CLASS!!! Gah.

Atul, Tina and I went for step aerobics yesterday. Tina was so good at it (she has been doing it for months... or years?), she could follow every single steps and Atul just gave up, walked around the place and asked "Bila tah cooling down nie?" when there's 30 minutes more to go. HAHAHHAHAHA.

As for me, I simply hantam jumped here and there, walked up and down the steps and followed the instructor "Wu!" and "Wow!" there. Really, I think I'm done for aerobics. I just too slow to get the instructor and I have really really bad hand-foot-eye coordination. Imma try yoga out tomorrow, maybe... if Fussy doesn't fly aeroplane this time.

Anyway, Bobby and I have gained some weight (especially Bobby, he's back to his old weight before he has his braces) and we're trying to lose some of it. So he decided to hang around the town and skipped dinner and as for me.. I tried my best not to eat anything after the aerobics too.

Se-ka-li hor, both of us ended up eating dinner/supper at 9.30pm at Excapade Gadong. You say die or not. Didn't lose an ounce of fats but gained more.

o_O !!!

Damn fail.

And yesterday was payday. You can imagine how pack was Excapade (I bet today too since tomorrow is Friday and I have couple of classmates who can't wait to eat sushis) and take a look at the orders they had!

Super kua-cheong!

Oh btw, Excapade has new menu!
I love their cucumber salmon sushi. Thick chunks of salmon with avocado, bits of ebiko (fish roes) and mayonaise roll with long stripe of cucumber.

* * *

And stupid Bobby named his tummy "Little Nonnie" and kept making fun of it.

Me: Eh Pui, you better start losing some weight leh...

Bobby: But I love my Nonnie very much, I wanna keep it... *points tummy*

Me: .... KANASAI! Why you go name your tummy as NONNIE! You #!$@!@$%@!

Bobby: Cos its cute mah..... and round.... and fat..... like *cough*.... hehehhehe

Me: Damn you. Then I go name my tummy "Bobby" too!

Bobby: Oh, okay. Nonnie (Bobby's tummy) is fatter than Bobby (Nonnie's tummy). HAHHAHA! This is fun!

So people, Bobby might look quiet and harmless (or even dumb?) to you.. please, looks can be deceiving. He's actually very very kanasai , just that he hide it well. Its a miracle that I'm still alive and haven't puke blood till I die. *touchwood*

* * * * *

Today, I spent almost 20minutes in preparing my breakfast. Most of the time I could finish cooking a packet of Mee Pok or Har Mee in just 5 - 7 mins time, with a cup of Milo but this morning, I was feeling a little greedy.

Bobby brought me to Supa Save yesterday asked me to get myself food to cook, ensuring I will never get hungry. (silly bf) Actually I saw a frozen pack of baked macaroni but I doubt the oven in the kitchen is working and safe for use. So I bought a packet of cheese sausages and vegetable dumplings which is easier to cook.

I cooked sausages, mee pok and dumplings using them

I make sure I have enough oil this time

And my mee pok turned out fine!
Not too hard, not too soggy.

I just boiled water using my kettle, put the dry pack mee pok into an empty bowl and poured the hot water over it and used my plate as a cap and "hip" it like cup noodles.

hip (adjective, verb) - weird Seria Chinese slang that means keep something warm/ hot in something?
Example 1 : Today weather very hot, stay inside the car feel very "hip".
Example 2 : The meat is not done yet. Leave it in the wok and "hip" longer.

LOL! I was shocked the other day Soly used the word "Ojipala" and she told me she picked it from my blog. HAHHAHHHAAA. So yeah, I might as well teach you peeps more of the slangs I use all the time.

I bet most of you will think that I will fry the sausages but you're wrong.
I did this instead.

After pouring the hot water out to hip the noodles, I just popped the sausages in my kettle and boiled it. Smart leh? This is what I call multitasking. =D

But then.. the dumplings turned out really bad.

It sticked to my rice cooker and I had a hard time scrapping them off and hence resulted in the "lubang" dumplings.... Sigh. I couldn't leave them in any longer.. if not even more chao-da (burnt) okay.

The sausages were fully cooked in case you want to know.

So I was starring at the wall in my room and sulking how ugly it is again, then I went online and google "How to remove ugly stains on wall?" and I did found couple of solutions.

Some said use a hot teaspoon and there's one which suggested the hair dryer.

I have yet to try out the teaspoon method but I did tried the second one while I was using the hair dryer to blow-dry my hair.

Well, I must say it worked for some tapes but there's still some pretty stuborn one.

Anyway I gave up trying because 10 minutes after holding the hair dryer, I suddenly remembered I was suppose to make a notice board to cover up that ooglie wall.

Stupid me go and do so many things for what?

But don't worry the tenant who lives in my room after me, I'm not going to leave you much ugly stains as I'm a very considerate person. Hahhahaa.

The Seria Library

Isn't there anyone out there who miss my entries? Anyway, I was having a minor blogger's block.. not knowing what to write about.

There are a few things that happened in my school but I wasn't sure if it is alright to blog about. Nothing good anyway, it was a rather pathetic news actually.

Bah, here's what I want to blog today...

Introducing you....

The Seria Library

I know, the exterior appearance of it doesn't seem very attracting. In fact, it is obvious that this particular building is super lack of maintenance.

Just see how shabby is it?

I bet if I didn't say that it is a library (that is still operating), some of you might even guess it's some haunted mansion.

NOW

The paint has gone off.
The roof gives me a feeling that it might drop a plank of wood anytime.
You can see plant growing out from the cracks on the wall..

THEN (15 years ago... I think?)

That's my cousin by the way.. And during the flood in 2001, most of my photos were soaked in the water and thus you can see the cacat border.

I lost 100+ precious memories during that stupid flood.

* * * * *

Due to its strategic location, it is really convenient for me to go there. Only walking distance away from my place.. And when I say "walking distance", I really mean by walking for less than ___ steps.. I think? I never counted.

Okay, too much information.

(Friends, please do not expose where I stay!)

When I was young, in my primaries I mean... I used to go to the library quite often. Not to read, but to play...

No, don't get me wrong. Not inside the library and make noise very kurang-ajar-ly like a spoil brat.

I loved to sneak in by either climbing over the gate or squeezed myself through underneath the little gap below the gate. I was like a monkey.

I ride my little purple bicycle up and down the "hill" at the entrance of it. I hide myself in the dry longkangs. I love to catch little tadpoles and frogs in those wet longkangs.

Those were the days... Young, and care free. I think my tan skin got developed at that period of my life, imagine playing outdoor from 3pm ~ 6pm.. till my mum shouted my name through the windows and demanded me to get myself showered right away.

I was like a boy. What to do? My childhood playmates used to be 2 young ko-ko (elder brother) who refused to play barbie doll with me.

The Children's Section (Age 12 and below)

This wall reminds me of children ward in hospital

On the ground floor, it belongs to the children's section. Age 12 and below. Still my favorite corner of all. Don't you think children's books are still the best? Easy to read, lots and lots of pictures, fascinating stories with fairies, pixies, goblins, magic swords and dragons...

...which reminds me of a conversation I had with Bobby the other day.

Me: I'm not going to allow our kids to bring their toys into their room next time.

Him: Baby, by that time there's already PS5 - 10, who would still want to play with toys?

Me: No. I'm not gonna let them play with those TV games, it's going to spoil their eyes. I'm going to buy books for them to read so they can have wild imaginations like their mum?

Him: Huh?

Me: Don't you imagine yourself being one of those role inside, having all those adventures? Like, you threw a seed out from my window and the very next day you get to see a giant bean stalk?

Him: Er..no. I study Science dear.

Me: &%$@^%$(*%!!!

(And I really thought there's ninja turtles who lived underneath the sewage!
Oh well, it's good to imagine and dream isn't it?)

* * * * *

And during every school holiday, the library will organized a few activities such as coloring contest, handicrafts and language competition.

I wouldn't missed any of those activities, unless I overslept or had tuition class. And won myself some colour pencils, pencil case and books. (Somehow, it really seems easy to win as there weren't much kids joining.)

* * * * *

1st Floor (For age 12 and above)

Mmm... personally, I think this is a rather boring section. Serious and super quiet that will make you automatically tip-toed everywhere you go.

I used to do my revisions there, to avoid seduction such as TV and radio (no computer, internet and Astro at that time). It was freezing there and I usually couldn't stand staying there for more than 2hrs.

Me, pretending to read (some biology book)

I saw this on a table. Harry Potter, the Goblet of Fire.. MALAY VERSION!

PIALA API YOH!

I casually flipped the book and read two random lines out of it. Catch no ball..

"S-P-E-W!", mempelak Hermoinne. <- What does that mean?

Of course, English version is also available there,
and also some cook books.

Bobby found this book absolutely enthralling!
THE UNADULTERATED CAT!

I walked downstair, went to the counter and asked for the form to fill to be a member. Walked out the door and had some flashbacks of my childhood.

This is me, with the big concrete signboard of the library.
Sadly, the words are no longer there...

And it got me thinking,

WHEN ARE THEY GOING TO COMPUTERIZE THE LIBRARY SYSTEM?

13.04.2007 - A date with Bobby in Swenson

Man, I was so lady-like isn't it?

Went to the PC fair and paid a visit to my ex-colleagues. Didn't get to snap any photos though. The sales weren't that good as compare to the previous years.. And I saw a PINK MSI notebook that looks 90% similar to Sony VAIO.

Talking about piracy, those things never ends huh?

15.04.2007 - My latest wacky idea

That is a piece of Styrofoam board that I'd bought from Hua Ho for $1.60. Plan to use it a notice board in my lab.

And for the time being, that's Bobby and my posing tool.

If your name is Hanisah, you're not allowed to read till 07/04/2007

I didn't get to win that bloody shuffle by blogging. (Lucky draw? Come on! It's unfair for someone who never have luck! Or the fortune teller said so.)

At least, I earn myself bunch of great friends from all over the world! Asia? South East Asia, bah... Singapore, Malaysia and Brunei only lar if you insist.

One of the greatest, Hanisah.

A Malay Hijabbi in Toowomba, Australia and a Chinese girl in Seria, Brunei Darussalam.
What do we have in common? Great Minds!
Muahahahhaaa. No kidding.

Only after a few random conversation in MSN, we spilled out our darkest secrets telling each other the silly mistakes we regretted in our life and share opinions and gossips.

..which I seldom does that. I mean, I don't even tell my friends about it, what's more to say when she's only a 'cyber' friend whom I never met. And also, I can't even be sure if she's telling me the truth.

But, she just gives me a feeling that I can put my faith in her. Perhaps it's her hijab that does magic on me.

We complained to each other regarding the unfairness we encountered, idiots who get on our nerves, and how some silly people annoys us.

Her greatest quote,

"God gave everyone a brain,
but not all came with a manual on how to use it."

And there was this time when she asked,

Why are there so many idiots around us?

My answer?
Because God wants to show us how smart we are!

(And you better be laughing at our great quotes/jokes!)

I remember the first time I saw her, is when she finally come back to Brunei and finished with her house-moving project to Seria, which is.. same area with me!

Erm, technically.. that's more like her second home, or house.

Imagine how funny it was, based on the address she gave me, I drove to her house, pressed the door bell, heart thumping... feeling all the anxiety!

(Excuse me. Not the "OMG! He's looking at me! I'm going to faint!" type of heart-thumping, but the.. "I'm so excited to finally get to see this girl whom I'd chat so much with" kind of thrill)

After saying hi to her parents and answered a couple of questions, (I know, like interviewing the boyfriend kan?), we went to KB WYWY, sat there for almost 2 hours ordering only one 100Plus and one Lemon-Ping, chit chatting like those kopitiam uncles (except our legs are nicely cross and not shaking as if there's an earthquake) and thinking what to do for the GBNO.

Together, we made a Breast Cancer and PCOS Awareness brochure, she provides the brain and I did it with my skills.

She wants to be policewoman!
Got potential kah? =p

And I bet her speech had made all of us who attended the party touched and cried a little in our heart, thinking that how blessed we are with healthy bodies...

A night with gorgeous ladies and sexy mamas

And that... is Hanisah, constantly reminding me that I should feel content with what I have now. Giving me positive feedbacks and motivate me.

And also, give me a hand when I'm stuck blogging half way thinking of an alternative way to put my words sound nicer and less offensive with her better-than-Nonnie's English.

p/s: Mizi takes good photos!

And last Tuesday, after giving her birthday gifts, she bugged me to join her in her favorite author's, Randa Abdel-Fattah public lecture. I like her book title though, "Does my head look big in this?"

I made myself a national escape appearance on TV! Am so getting in trouble if anyone finds out.

My friend asked me, "Why? She wants you to convert into Muslim kah?"

And I asked her back the same question, "Eh dang, you want me to be a muslim kah? I won't give up touching cute doggies, puppies and also eating p_ rk one leh. "

(Sorry if the above words make you feel uncomfortable)

Yeah, that is how open I can talk to her, about religious issues, personal encounters, world news (terkarang!) .... and also jokes about adults explicit topics. Don't you cow-dung me that you never had dirty talks with your friends ah.

Whenever I had problems with my kids, my students that is due to lack of understanding in their religion, she's the best person to ask.

(My students actually came up to me and asked, "Cikgu orang cina kah? Cikgu ada makan....itu.. B-A-B-I?") <- tell me, how would you answer this!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

(Okay Hanisah.. if you're secretly reading this,
you should seriously close the window now)

Her birthday is coming on this 7th April, Saturday. As a (very cute, nice, kind, gorgeous, helpful and funny) friend, of course.. I'll choose to make her birthday gifts rather than buying the icy cold one from the stores.

Got more heart and meaning like that mah.

Based on the above photos, can you agak-agak picture how her card will looks like?

.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.

*ta da*

Oh, please tell me the card looks nice.
Tell me, tell me!

As for the inner page, I'll save it for her eyes only.

And birthday gift, I made it myself too..
Erm, correction.. I modify it.

She told me she likes to collect notebooks.
She told me I shouldn't waste any money in buying her pressies.

Solution..

Can you guess how it'll turn out to be?

Result-

A nice D.I.Y Notebook.

For Hanisah to fill the colorful pages with joy and fun!

Why "N"?

Because the letter N stands for the nicest thing in the world, take for example..
Nonnie, and Nisah.

And of course, Notebook too.

Muahahhhahaaa. Satisfy with my answer or not?

DIY Wrist Rest/ Mini-bloggers Lunch

Ever saw those really cute wrist rest they sell it in shops? Cute, furry and... EXPENSIVE!

What? $20 for something to rest my wrist while typing? I might as well lay down on my bed and chat using "on screen keyboard" to type (I mean click letters by letters), which.... I always did. =p

(Nonnie's lazy tactic)

So....

I decided to make myself one.

(I know IngSiang, I should rename my blog to DIY Garden)

First what I need to do is to sketch out my design.. the prototype I suppose.

Yeah, it's pig again. What to do, I'm born in year of Boar. That makes me officially a pigomaniac, whatever that means anyway..

Secondly, trace out the shape on to the cloth. You need to trace two in case you don't know. One for the front, and the other one for the rear.

Nonnie at work

Yeah... I wear my glasses at home, sometimes.
And NO, I don't wear contact lenses! My right eye is completely fine that's why I don't need any glasses, unless... I'm only using my left eyes for aiming.

Then, you cut it out.

And stitch them...

Then stuffed the cotton in,

Wa-la~ (Almost) done.

I showed my mum the semi-finished product, and she was like, "Cute oh the dog."

"Ma... It's a PIG. Only pigs are pink... -___-""

And to make it looks more like a pig, I just need to give it some eyes and nose.

Like this,

Not bad huh? At least save me money from buying one..

Actually I don't really need it, just that I was too bored for this holiday and I just want to do something so I don't feel wasted.

* * *

It was only when I placed it near my keyboard then I realised...

"Shoot! Too short liao lah!"

Maybe I should have draw a Giraffe (with long neck) instead..

But it feels just right....

"AaahhHhhhhhh..."

[Add: Bobby says that this is a THIN looking pig]

I know, I look like crap here...
