4 years to go…

It’s been quite some time since I last shared something personal in this blog. As you can see, this blog is slowly turning into either a travel / food blog. Most of the time it’s because there’s nothing much going on with my life, or… I choose not to share with the public. And also, I get a little bored with blogging because I don’t find the hype of posting the usual stuffs that seems not interesting for (if still exists) my readers out there.

Anyway, here I am… Blogging this post because it marks another milestone of my life.
(Speaking of which, I have not blogged about my wedding reception! Oopss~)

I tried my luck applied for the LDP (Latihan Dalam Perkhidmatan) or in English, in-service scheme last year. I wasn’t expecting much from it as here’s usually hundreds to thousands of people applying each year and the chances of getting it are pretty low. I even have ex-colleagues who applied 9 times (meaning 9 consecutive years) and still no news. And it was only my first time so I take it as an experience only… Forms filling experiences hahahahhahahaa. (THE FORMS TO FILL IN ARE LIKE… CRAZY BANYAK!)

And last June, I got a text from UBD asking me to collect my offer letter.

The feeling? Ecstatic!
But not yet…. Still got to wait for the final approval from JPA and when we attended the briefing, we’re told that even with the institute offer letter, we can only attend classes when we have the permission from JPA.

And a week later…. I finally got the approval!

It’s OFFICIAL!!!!!

4 years of students life again and I’m feeling excited and sad at the same time. I know I will be missing my awesome colleagues, my great bosses (principal and deputy principals) and also, my cute and manja students. One of my students even got mad and said, “Teacher why are you leaving? We haven’t even graduate yet and you’re leaving us???? You cheat my feelings!” – that’s really emotional I know..

I’ve stayed in the same school for 6 years and this year’s year 6 students are really the kids whom I’ve been teaching from year 1 till now. I see them growing up and I so feel pretty sad that I won’t be seeing them passing their PSRs and promote to year 7. *but then again, if my class timetable allows, I’m so going to go back to my school and visit them all the time*

Find the teacher in the above photo.

And because of me leaving, my students who wished to participate in this year’s Kodu competition are forced to complete their work early and spent as much time as possible in the computer lab with me. And we even stay in school on Friday for several weeks to get it all done, albeit they pretty much enjoyed it and were really happy when I suggested it.

Attended the first briefing in UBD yesterday and got so many forms to fill again laaaaaaaa…

Most of my friends are really happy for me, okay… actually all of them lah and also, I get to see my husband more I guess since I’ll be in BSB every school day from now on for 4 years. But kasian my mom alone at home lah… Sigh..

Oh well, 4 more years to go…..

Wish me luck!

Paddington House of Pancakes, Brunei

I was already very excited when I first see the photos of those pancakes shown in someone’s IG and boy oh boy, that was a lot of eager anticipation going on.

My first visit to PHOP was on the 4th day of their soft opening and I had already lowered down my expectation in a big scale due to the reviews I read. Some said it was good, real good, but at the same time, a lot had complained about the waiting time as well as the price.

Entering the restaurant, I was greeted by Denise who made it clear that the waiting time will probably be around an hour (YES! 60 MINUTES) and asked if we’re okay to wait. At the same time, she passed us the menu to flip through to make it easy for us to decide if we want to wait.
Of course, we waited, in hope that it’s gonna be all worth it.

Staffs sorting out the orders in front of the kitchen

Kids Corner

 Full Monty
Don’t you like it when you get to poke the yolk and see all that runny goodness glides down the plate and all over the bacon, sausages and baked beans.

 Do not underestimate the portion.
It was actually super filling!

Buckle Berry - Blueberry pancakes, beef bacon and scrambled egg with tomatoes, mushrooms and onions.
Iced Black Coffee – $4.50 and Orange Blossom – $4.00

Wedges and Fries – $8.50
Can’t decide whether you want fries or wedges, WHY NOT BOTH?!
I love love love this! (We over ordered and I had to tapao this and sneaked in to the cinema, had a great time munching them when I saw watching the awesome Pacific Rim)

Mexico Pannekoek – $13.00 , can’t think of any other words apart from – crispy pizza?
Good for sharing with friends. (Will be better if they can slice it up before serving. Hehehhehe)

Nice crepe. (Pronounce as “Neese”, not “nai-se” ya)
And this nice crepe is really nice!

Chicken fillet, prawns, bacons, mushrooms and THAT IS NOT POTATOES, ITS PINEAPPLE CUBES!

As you can see, for now we had only ordered the savory items from the menu. Next, the sweet one! I’m guessing I still need to make a few more trips there to try out everything from the menu!

If you ask for my opinion, if you want to have a quick meal... this is definitely not the place to be as those pancakes are made to order. Just go there when you're not in a rush, sit back, relax and enjoy the meal.

Directions to get there (Copy from Thanis’s blog

To get to Paddington House of Pancakes – turn in from the Airport roundabout into Jalan Berakas – take the First U-Turn and you will see the Happy Star Building~~
If you’re coming from Berakas – The Happy Star Building should be on your left – just before Sekolah Menengah Berakas.

Yokoso Japan–Day 4 : Disneyland (Part 2)

Continue from Part 1 http://kisich.blogspot.com/2013/06/yokoso-japanday-4-disneyland-part-1.html

After our lunch, we went back to Buzz Lightyear something something with our fast pass.

Damn… I ‘m hopeless when it comes to shooting game….

And then…. we came across t he second parade!

Those freaking princes in the parade were so damn HANDSOME!!!

Even Vai who rarely talks bout people and their appearances also sighed upon seeing their beautiful charming faces. Sibeh good looking gwailous!

Captain Hook and Peter Pan fighting on the rocking boat. This is really cool lah!

See! Captain Hook is on the rock whereas the sailors will push the rocking boat so that Peter Pan will get near to Captain Hook and tries to fight him.

Wishing well

No idea what was this owl saying but this was taken when we’re waiting for our turn for the Mountain splash ride. Actually I don’t even know what’s the actual name of the ride.

We’re having the usagi theme to pose for the picture. As you can see, I’m the only one who’s doing it right. SL is doing this OK sign with mouth wide open and Vai can’t even let go of her hands off the rails.

I love Disneyland, so not karit!

Usually they won’t allow people to take photo because if that’s the case, you won’t buy already kan. But this one, can oh!

Btw, the man in the red shirt damn control man the face. But when we’re queuing, the couple’s hands just couldn’t be taken off each other’s bodies… you get the hint

You’re welcome ~

Hidden Mickey in my churros. Nom nom nom nom nom

Spotted. Easter egg bunny

Caught another show. We almost watched all performances, shows and parades.
No kidding. The timing was just that good.

We’re given this box for translation

Painless Dentist only available in Disneyland.. Dream on people

This curry popcorn tasted like… curry twisties that masuk angin

While queuing for another roller coaster ride, which is quite similar to Pony Express from JP.

And I saw Pony Express!

Hungry while waiting and we saw so many people eating it, so I went to get myself a smoked turkey leg too!

Could barely finish it

Slept in this show because,
1) nyaman aircon nya…
2) nyaman kerusi nya…
3) ngaleh dah saya….

Bought  pair of clip on ears and Vai got herself a comfy spot and slept.

It was super cold in the evening that I started to regret wearing sleeveless dress!

Walkway starting to clear, people sitting at the side waiting for the final parade.

SL feeling warm in his sweater and I was feeling freezing cold actually

So pretty!!!!!!!
