Life in Rubber

Once in awhile, I'll take out my treasure box,

and admire all my lovely collections inside.

And.... my imaginations got really wild.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

After a long day of work doing my usual DIYs, I look at my beautiful set of blue stationaries.

Sharpener, staple, cello tape and scissor. The essentials for crafting.

Then I got hungry and thought,
"Hmmm.... What to eat ah?"

Japanese?

Victoria eats sushis and she's skinny!
Maybe I can try that too...

And, it doesn't hurt to have a little more choices, right?

Wait wait. Must have balance diet.
Take some veggies else later suffer from constipation.

(check out the details! )

To complete the scrumptious meal....
what else but dedicate desserts for a perfect finishing?
Cakes and ice creams!
Yoohoooo!!!

Puddings, chocolates and cookies!

(Again, check out the details!
How they made such perfect erasers I don't know)

Jellos!

Totally irrelevant

Buah-Buahan, sihatkan badan awda

Hmm... Feel like having fast food for tea break.

Feeling thirsty?I wonder how "Panda Shock" taste like...

Oppsie! Today is the last day to exchange pots with stamps in Suppa-Spend.

Quickly wear my slipper,

off the lights,

But... but...
Tummy ache.
Need to pang-sai!

And stain my pink toilet bowl all over.

After 15 minutes of bombing...
"Phewwww.... Xu-Fook-Sai~"

Then I take my cellphones..
(Of course need two lah, one for DST and the other B.Mobile. )

Hmmm.. which beetle to choose?
Must match my baju can.
Or take my private jet, boat or train...?
Sigh.. rich people has to make so many decisions.
Sakit kepala yoooo.

This casette "Gone Back Home" was my first cassette when I was 3.
I was the first to fall for Korean singers okay.

I put it up in Ebay and the bid has gone up to $25k.
Don't salah faham. Its for charity.

Drive to golf club and everyone loves my blue clubs.
*proud*

Play golf play till sien...
Blah, go visit my pet green rhinoceros and blue elephant.

Oh, I own a zoo too.

Come back home and saw little Harkow turns BLUE.
Aiyoyoo. My pet dog is sick.
Quick, go get the thermometer.
Yellow for him. Pink for me.

Adeh, my dog is really sick.
Must bring to see vet.

The vet told me Harkow is suffering constipation and he can't get his poo-poo out from the hole. So the vet put some liquid up the hole and Harkow terus lao-sai..

And there's...

a bar of soap, pegs my set of crayons!

Bad dog.

It's such a chaotic day.
And now.. I'm blogging and my green house is so cute.

- The End -

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Life in rubber does sound good isn't it? And... I just realized half of my collections are all FOOD! I'm such a glutton.

p/s: Story simply made up just to show off my eraser collections. =D

p/p/s: And... those you saw wasn't everything. I still have a lot of 2Ds one.

p/p/s: If you happen to see any cool erasers, leave me a message.

p/p/p/s: Fastest post ever without using much of my brain.. Finish it in 10minutes time after uploading the photos.

I HEART ERASERS!

Bedside Cabinet Makeover

"Do your DIY thingie lah!", the other two from the usual-trios answered me when I asked, "Oi... very boring lah! Any plans or whatsoever to kill time kah?".

Fine then. Since I had no choice at all.

Movie outings, tea breaks, lepak around all need money. Gosh... I can't believe that I'd managed to stay away from Excapade for almost a month and had not buy anything useless on impulse. Yippee! 2 more weeks to the next pay day =D

You're doing great Nonnie! Keep it up!

Still... I can't buy anything to reward myself.
Damn sad.

Anyhooo.. back to my makeover.

Everyone, this is ....

I can't remember exactly how long ago this ugly piece of furniture started to exist in my room but I remembered initially mum placed it under my old reading table by slotting it into the space where I used to hook my legs freely on the wall while playing Barbie on it.

She used a piece of cloth along with some wire and created a "curtain" for it.

Then years later, after several times of furnitures moving... it now ended up becoming my bedside cabinet, where I stuffed in all my DVDs, books and other ojipalas along with banyak-banyak photo frames on top.

And everytime FussyKelly came over to my place and saw it, she'll "suggest",
"Why don't you get yourself a new piece from Ikea or what. It's not very expensive anyway. This one spoils the look of your room, like... cannot fit in bah."

My reply, "Can use, why waste?".

But I had always wanted to do something with it. Make it look less hideous at least. And yesterday was the day when I was truly bored and Astro was showing all re-runs.

First thing first, emptied the cabinet.
I left them all on my bed since I was going to change the sheets later.

As you can see, DVDs, CDs and all other miscellaneous ojipalas.

Then laid some old newspaper on the floor for painting purpose.

The problem was... I spent 10 minutes squatting like a frog reading all the columns in it. Not until my legs felt numb then I realized what my initial plan was. Back to work yo young lady!

Ya, I lose focus easily.
:S

So I took out the leftover white paint from my previous kitchen cabinet makeover. Opened up the lid and thought to myself... "Did I took the wrong can?"

"Wait... *check label* It is the white paint what!"

Like nescafe laaaaaaa

Is it normal? I don't think paint has expiry date. No?
Er.... nevermind already. I had already used it.

I just tried my luck by stirring it, hoping that it'll look normal after that.

Finally! The colour changed from teh-tarik to full cream milk!
All ready to paint!

My usual attire at home

Forgive me as I still don't have the courage to turn my head and pose with this baju. On a lazy Sunday like this, sometimes I don't even care to comb my hair. Headband is a must, not those kawaii type. The cute and glittery one is not "kuat" enough to hold my fringe in place. Scrunchie~ I remember reading it some where saying that its a fashion-don't, so I only use them at home.

Spider fleeing

That's at the back of the cabinet. Patut tah dusty.
*look left and right feeling guilty*

Finish painting then it's time to get some tan~

Yes you don't have to tell me. The inner parts of the cabinet was badly painted. That was because after a few strokes, I baru remembered that I only need to paint the exterior part!

So, I ching-ching-chai-chai simply hamtam paint saja.
If only I got glossy paint, sure very chun the exterior.

My hands

Can you read palms?

Took a short break and cooked myself lunch.

Best!

30 minutes later.. back to work.

Got the measurements and cut it out from a piece styrofoam.
It's just a dollar something, available in all book store and even Hua Ho.

Wrapped them up in a piece of cloth,

And 'kangaroo' them!

Fit 'em in!

There, my ching-chai-random-bedside-cabinet-makeover!

All that I did was paint it all white, and made some covers for it so that I can hide all the messiness in it.

Am still thinking if I want to make a knob for it or not...
What you think?
Just don't tell me that I should have leave it alone because it looks like crap now.
Damn sad wei... Spent so many hours then in the end people tell me, "Huh? I thought it looked better before you do anything to it."

But I am going to draw something at the side lah.
I was just too freaking tired after it and syok watching t.m.o Ah Long Pte Ltd.

I want to watch that movie lah!

. . . I know.

I should have clean up my table instead of keh-kiang (act smart) do a makeover.

I love being a woman

Sigh.. this blog is so dead.
Bye.
Need to find some adventures to make my blog more lively.

The thing is... adventures and fun all need money.
Sigh.

Here, my tag hutang

This post is potentially boring and may cause you loss of interest in just mere 2 minutes.

Was tagged by Choonie and Teddy. So here, my o-tangs.

First, Choonie's.

Remove 1 question from below, and add in your personal question, make it total 20 questions, then tag to 8 people in your list, list them out at the end of this post. You must link to the one who tag you, and spread it to 8 people, let the game go on.

1. What is your dream during your childhood?
This is going to sound really bad but... I have to be honest right?
*cough* A rich man with a pretty and gentle woman walk into my room and claim that I'm their long lost child and I live happily ever after with the big Barbie doll house, my own princess room and Grade A all the way because my father own the school, and unlimited supply of KFC in the kitchen, and pony riding with my parents, and visit Disneyland every holiday and have all the Prince Charming(s) kissing me and asking me for a dance.

My mum, Bobby, my friends and MONEY.

12. Which type of person you hate most?
Wah lao... This is going to be really long because even a driver who don't put on signal lights may tick me off wor.
*cough* People who twist stories and tell others. People who are so dependent on others to finish their work and yet steal the credits away. People who drive recklessly. People who cut queues. For those whom I dislike, even if their real eyelashes are 1" long and D cup boobies.. I only will think they look like camel.

20. What do you expect from this coming Blog of the Year?
Kurapak is going to be winner, follow by AB then the Wild Card category winner.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The second tag.

To-do list.
1. List 5 vices you have, with a description if you want to.
2. Tag five bloggers for this meme.
3. Link back to the blogger who tagged you, and this post if you want to be nice.

1. Interrupting.
I don't why but it seems like I can't tahan my urge when I feel like telling the things I know even though my friends are talking. If I was asked to swallow my words back, trust me... I won't remember what I want to say already.

2. Swearing.
But not when I'm "on duty".
Picked up that horrible 'habit' when I first started working. Imagine working in an environment full of kasar mechanics and later technicians. It's universal and very functional since it can be adjectives, adverbs or any of part of a word.

3. Face-black-black (Pulling a face)
Happen all the time because once I'm emotionless, everyone says my face very "black". That is why I try to smile a lot upon seeing people, takut later people say I kambang, sombong, snobbish and so on. But, when I'm in a bad mood... that is the time you better stay away from me, unless your "kungfu" tebal enough to comfort me.

4. Impatient
This is bad. Real bad. I can't even tahan people who tends to talk slow and after like 3 sec is the longest pause I will wait. Lucky I don't have friends who stammer else I'll be playing "Continue the sentence" everytime I talk to him/her.

5. Talk without filtering
Sigh... Lesson learned. Word vomit is no fun even if you don't mean what you said. People will just twist it and think something else. Or worse, spilling the bean unintentionally. So, better keep quiet most of the time.

That is why I prefer to have my circle of friends small.. real small. They love and understand me and will forgive me no matter what.

The Lion wears Bata - Part 2

Yes, I know CNY had passed like 2 weeks ago and yet I'm still blogging about lion dance which is so lalalala outdated.

But this is going to different, I hope.
I'm not posting up pretty pictures of lion dance nor showing you how pretty fireworks are.

The After-Mess

Traditionally, the lion was regarded as a guardian creature which summon and fortune and good luck, and with the drums, cymbals and fire crackers, it wards off back luck and exorcise evil spirits.

But nowadays, you can see trucks and trucks of young men at the back of a pick-up truck with printed association names house-hopping along a street from one end to the other. Talking about over-commercialized huh.

Owners of the houses invited them to "dance" for auspiciousness and later reward them with an attractive angpao, with an official receipt given back.

(Of course, the more "cantik" the content in the angpao, the longer the lion feels "motivated" to dance)

And few weeks ago, a friend (I feel that I can no longer freely put their names and pictures on it because they felt slight disturbed when the public recognize them) of mine invited Theen and I to his house to watch lion dance.

I guess we're only 4 years old in his eyes. I mean, do any of your friends ask you to go to his/her house and watch lion dance? That's why my friend here is Si-Peh-Cer.

Maybe he thought we still get excited over 2 men faking, I mean mimicking a lion barging blindly at every corner of the house.  I said "blindly" because I witnessed the lion bumping its head on to a pillar... Damn funny you know! It was caught on video too but I was too malas to get it from SL.

... crap. Did I just mention his name?

1 sec late to snap the "head-bumping" incident
The pillar, the lion and the laughing man

So normally what the house owner will do is prepare from fruits, normally mandarin oranges (kam) and pomelo for the lion to do some "magic" out of it.

How I wish someone could use durians and watermelons instead...
*evil grin*

Some leave it nice on a plate and put it on the floor, whereas some hardworking and more "pantang" one has them all arranged nicely resembling any auspicious Chinese characters like 吉or 福.

大吉

And later the lion "eat" up one by one (with a human hand stuck out from its mouth) and later "process" it with its abdomen.

Must be damn hot and humid inside

Like hatching an egg, I mean kam.

And we waited 10-15 minutes for it to finish.

The End Result
in a square

So nice right the way the feel off the skin. Maybe can create a new record in Guinness World record leh. Fastest kam-peeling lion in the whole world.

The thing is... I didn't see any leftover skins nor white piths on the floor after the lion moved away!

Call me sakai or sua-ku if you know where are them but... seriously, I always thought it will miraculously disappear on its on like magic trick I saw from the TV. I knew it is hidden somewhere but I didn't have any clue.

24 and naive, I am.

Until that day.... I finally knew the answer and quickly snapped a picture and showed it proudly to my friend.

They all called me silly and didn't want to layan me when I told them that I finally solve one of the biggest mystery in my life. "Ah-Duiiiiiiii......... Don't tell me you don't know where all the skins go har? How old are you oh?"

Told you I need new friends didn't I?
Just kidding lar.. I love them to bits.

Dang Dang Dang Dang
*cue drum rolls*

So, other than mimicking a lion... I guess this young man can go do a kangaroo show too.
=p
